Sims 2 Battle Royale location?
Jul. 20th, 2011 11:11 pmI've been thinking again about the possibility of a Battle Royale type story using the teen characters from Sims 2, and wondering where to set it. An abandoned Twikii Island, perhaps? The mean streets of Sims City? If anyone here has read the book or manga or seen the movie, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Or even if you haven't, what location do you think might make the most interesting battleground?

May. 18th, 2010 10:37 amI've been giving this idea some more thought, and if you can stomach the idea of a story where they (mostly) all die, it makes for some very interesting exploration of the teen characters in Sims 2. There are so many factors that could be considered. And, if you know me at all, you know I have no problem with killing characters (even ones I really like), so this side project is right up my alley.

Request for simselves
Jun. 6th, 2008 02:24 pmYeah, I know I said I was taking a break (I'm pretty bad at this, aren't I?), but I just thought of a fun little sim project to amuse myself with while I get away from my story for a while, and I'm here to request some simselves for use in this experiment.
I've been really into Open For Business lately, and I want to attempt to achieve that "have 5 top level businesses" LTW, while I'm learning all about the perks and all that. So my plan is to get Ms. Strange Tomato a nice little tomato garden and start selling the produce in her very own farmer's market, and then maybe branch out into opening an art gallery, coffee shop, or one of the many other pipe dream business ideas I've thought up over the years.
What I need now are workers. That could be you. I'm looking for seven diverse simselves to offer me their talents. You can even specify a particular skill they should have (only one), to get us started. I'll also need the stats and dual aspiration for them. I'll do a little report on how it all goes after I've had some time to play around with it. Don't worry. I'll be kind to them.

simstorytellerscommunity. If you're not already a member of that community, you should go take a look. I'm one of the new moderators, and we've been reviving the community. The weekly challenge is one of our new features, and it's a great opportunity for storytellers to experiment. The challenges are usually pretty small and manageable, so it's easy to participate. If you make stories, or would like to give it a try, we'd love you to join in.
I took this challenge as an opportunity to try out a story idea that I've been considering for a short sim story. I've been thinking about crossovers between the Maxis neighbourhoods for a while, and then![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
waywardgaze mentioned in a comment about something that she had done in a combined hood, and it was exactly the sort of thing that I was interested in writing a story about. So, after checking to see if it was cool that I take her idea and run with it, I set to work on a 4-5 part story. This drabble is a little teaser for that story, which will take place in Pleasantview, in an alternate reality to Strangetown, Here We Come. You'll understand why when you read it. I'll give more details on that story later, when I have it all set up.
