Forgive me if I posted this before (I did a quick glance through my tags and didn't find him), but here's a random CAS sim I found in my Tomato Legacy image folder. Pretty great, right?

awesomeCASguy

The title of this post comes from Mr. Tomato's reaction to this when I showed him. First he said it looked like a woman's face (maybe it was the tweezed brows or general fleshiness?) with a mustache, and then he said it looked like someone in the witness protection program. "Alright... a mustache here... some quirky glasses... voila!" It's also yet another sim that generated in my Tomato Legacy game with green skin and red eyes. Is there a genetic link I'm not aware of? So odd.

And yes, I may have been rooting around in that image folder for a reason. Tomato Legacy update, anyone? ;)

Cal and Krim Tomato, the twins of generation four, have been added to the Tomato Legacy sim download page. Humbelina and Goodwin will be uploaded soon, too, now that they've all reach the young adult stage. Please use these sims however you want. Have fun!

Two new Tomatoes have been added to the Tomato Legacy sim download page. Get 'em while they're fresh!

I was really excited to update the Tomato Legacy this weekend, but it seems semagic was likely thrown off again by the most recent updates to livejournal. I've submitted my error report and hope they'll get things fixed up soon. In the meantime, here's a little teaser to tickle your tomato bones:

Two new "creatures" will be entering the family! Damon Bigfoot and the adorable Humblelina. (They aren't actually one being, as shown here. :P)

I'm playing ahead of the updates right now and boy these sims do not disappoint. I couldn't dream of better. Tomato family, you are a zoo. A ZOO! So much fun to play!

A little glimpse of some Frances action from my recent play session. My Tomato legacy Gen. Four kids are in uni right now, and there have been Franny sightings! :D

But what's he up to?

That simsecret about Ginger Newson always being gay in the secret poster's game caught my eye this week, because it's the same way in my game. In fact, she's already been married into the Tomato family, and is the only official spouse to move into the legacy house thus far. (Hopefully, I'll catch up with my legacy posts soon, once I sort through the daunting stack of pics I took.)

Ginger loves Pepper Tomato.

She was also set to gay by ACR when she was a background character in All That Remains. Maybe it was meant to be. I think I'll play her that way in my main neighborhood, too. I have some eligible Maxis ladies who are looking for that special someone. Maybe D.J. Verse? Melody Tinker? Only time will tell...

ETA: Umm, scratch that last idea. I just remembered that I've already married her into a certain well-known Pleasantview family in my main Pleasantview, to a man. So much for that theory. :P So only two out of three of my Gingers are lesbians, and I'll probably stick to the "official" Pleasantview story for S,HWC.

It is with intense pleasure that I introduce to you, Damon Bigfoot:

I mean, c'mon! He's obviously the coolest Bigfoot ever, to be rocking a mustache like that! XD

This confirms that Mirablu's Townies and NPCs can generate Glasses and Facial Hair hack is one of the best things I've ever added to my game. Do yourself a favour and run over to MATY to download it immediately, if you haven't already. You will laugh. You will cry. You will have many, many mustaches! :D And nothing is funnier than mustaches.

This gem of a bigfoot also owes his good looks to the face template replacement set by zazuzu (also at MATY), which was the only set I found that seemed to have "more interesting" as its goal, rather than "watering down extremes." But hey, my search wasn't exhaustive, so if you know of other interesting and non-boring face template replacements, I'd love to hear about them! I'm all about introducing new and diverse genetics to my Tomato Legacy hood.

I've uploaded all the sims that have been born into the Tomato Legacy, or have been created for use in that hood.  I will be adding to this as I go.

Note: all custom eyes are by [livejournal.com profile] kinemortophobia, edited by [livejournal.com profile] smjoshsims to use the Maxis sclera.

Since I missed out on the minty green skin with my alien children in the Tomato family, and I was really hoping to see alien genes passing down through the generations (looking for that elusive recessive alien skintone to turn up) I decided to add a household of hybrid sims to the neighborhood. I created them in CAS by breeding PT No. 9 with various Maxis sims with interesting faces. I really like the results!

Can you believe it's taken me all of one day to run into an odd little snag in my legacy? Yeah, I figured. I'm a magnet for this sort of thing. My alien spawn(s) don't have green skin! I went with [livejournal.com profile] stakeit_uk's PT set, and according to her page, there's no cc in the package at all (for me to remove or otherwise mess up), but the offspring have normal skintones. In the PT's family tree shot, he shows up with pooklet's skintone, so do you think that might be the issue? Or is it because Greene is a plantsim? This seems like the same thing that was happening to [livejournal.com profile] madame_ugly just recently, but I was sure I was working with a cc-free PT set.

I'm sort of liking the results, so I'm not too worried, but it'd be nice to know what's going on all the same.

Now about those results... be warned of cuteness overload! )
