Elsewhere, I decided to start a legacy and play it for fun.

Our intrepid founder is Ms. Strange Tomato, my selfsim, and this is her pretty purple legacy shack. What a dive, huh? :P Don't worry, she'll have money troubles anyway, so I cut her a break. More on that a little later...

Here's Strange, version 3.0. She's 5/4/4/7/8, according to the sim personality quiz, and she's a pleasure/knowledge sim. Her LTW is to have 50 first dates, which is quite frankly the Worst Lifetime Want EVER. But oh well, I'll give it a stab.

Strange's first guest is Mr. Humble, and like any sensible person, Strange hides inside with the blinds shut until he left, taking his good word of the Sims 3 future with him.

But Mr. Humble had an idea. He left a package on her front step.

Soon others arrive. First, this garden club representative, who has ~unique~ purple eyes.

And the only other CAS sim in Elsewhere, one Gloria Bless. She's an original creation, created by mashing up different Maxis characters who I consider to be witches (and the Cordials, who officially are).

Also, these AL social group townies, though I was sure I used a clean template. They will not be stopped!

Strange greets them with open arms mouth.

It seems they're all members of a birdwatching club. This should be a fun party.

After some chit chat at the kitchen table, Strange says goodnight and decides to see what Mr. Humble left on her front step.

She opens it, and like Pandora's Box, it unleashes a number of strange conditions on her.

Strange: I feel ill.

Since being a sterile zombie sort of puts a damper on the whole legacy thing, Strange uses the only option she has left and grows a plantbaby.

It's a boy!

She names him Greene.

Knowing that morning will likely bring numerous challenges, Strange spends the night teching Greene a nursery rhyme.

Cute little thing, isn't he?

As expected, morning causes Strange to start sizzling. In plantsim terms, this means a rapidly depleting water meter.

Not having enough money for a coffin, Strange puts in a pool instead.

This approach has the added benefit of building body skill while she tries not to burn to a crisp.

For a while, it seems likes she might win the battle of water vs. burning vampire...

But the water meter slowly but surely depletes throughout the day.

*sings* Smoke on the waaaa-ter.

She seems pretty calm, all things considered.

Eventually, despite being submerged in water, Strange is nice and toasty.

Taking a shower is a more effective way of getting wet, it seems. This brings her water meter back to full. Sunlight and love seem to be taking a larger than normal hit, however. Being a vampire/plantsim is tough work, but she is able to stay up through the day.

By the end of the day, she's starved for love.

Night falls just in time! Greene needs some love and attention too.

Aaaaaaand werewolf!

It's a bit of a delayed reaction, that one.

I didn't notice much of a change to the meter.

Strange is desperate for money, and luckily the plantsim transformation has allowed her to plant some much-needed crops.

She had to sell off all her lights to buy other stuff, like the pool, so this is the only light source now.

She's pretty happy for someone who spends her days breathing in the smoke from her own burning body.

By night she begins to learn the ways of the light, so she can eventually build a throne of light. I feel this will be the key to many of her motive issues. She'll even be able to build skills!

Then maybe at night she can start on those dates. *sigh*

It buuuuuurns!

It still burns, even while she's showering, but it helps.

There was a slow, slow climb of both sunlight and water, and she eventually reached the top.

Nevermind that she's naked on her front lawn. Dirt lawn, that is.

The mailman doesn't know what to think.

Greene somehow managed to stop this jogger in his tracks to make him pay attention to him. Maybe because his mommy is too busy trying not to wilt to spend time with him.

Not to say that Strange is neglectful. Imagine the effort this takes for her! That steam isn't from the bath, you know.

And with that, generation two ages up to adult. We waste no time in this legacy.

Greene: Behold the power of plantsim reproduction! Leaves! Photosynthesis! Yeah! Woooo! I'm awesome!

Greene rolled romance, followed by family, which has to be my favourite combo. He wants to be a professional party guest. His personality is the same as Strange's. Obviously.

What does the future have in store for him? Will he find love? A family?

Tune in next time to find out! ;)

Reader particiption time! Which multi-PT set should I use for Greene's abduction? Cast your vote in the comments below. (Non-cc sets only, please.)

:D I'm so glad you're doing this. I don't know about you, but I find it much easier to bounce between projects than stick to one all the time.

Of course, I will humbly suggest my own PT set because I love it, naturally.

And I love Greene's look; are you using a replacement ideal plantsim?

What a strange way to start a Legacy, but it was awesome!!! One update and already getting generation 3 started!!! :D

I'd suggest a PT set, but I don't even remember which one I'm using.

Ha nice! A legacy from you would obviously be this nuts. :D It's great though. :D

I'd have no idea what multiPT to recommend so I'll leave that to those wiser in the ways of aliens. :)

Your self sim is adorable. <3 I have a sneaking suspicion that fun times will be had with this family.

I'm fond of this PT set, myself - nice extreme alien features while still making attractive spawn.

This is GREAT, and such a fun read. Thanks for answering my zombie-plantsim reproduction question, and in living color too.

Because those Brokes can make some really cute babies, I'd like to suggest simgaroop's Multi Pollination Technician Set: Graslaxian Edition: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=292447

Greene is quite good looking, where did his green eyes come from? Which or who's (replacement?) ideal plantsim are you using?

Looking forward to your next update.

Huzzah, a legacy!
Ooh, is that all the supernaturals? It looks quite hard, most people seem to have a hard enough time with only a regular vampire, and plantsims have always annoyed me. :P

That's the first time I've scrolled past a legacy update and done a double-take. Already an intriguing read! Awesome!

I've been using Widget's PTs (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=299384) and liking them, but what does a no-name like me know?

Ahaha, this is excellent! And quite a combo too, being both a plantsim and a vampire. :D

Love it! Never seen that many supernaturals mashed into one Sim before.
I use this set for my PTs: ChihoSan's Multi-PT set featuring LL30 Sims (http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=290883)

I'm not making this up. Just TWO days ago I thought about doing the Supernatural Mash Up to my self sim (I was test breeding her with that PT pack I mentioned before). JL is happy to know she won't have to endure this now that I've seen what happens (and that would make me NUTS to play--bless your soul for enduring it).

As for PT packs, I'm voting for pixel and bean's set (found at the same link given for simgaroop's other PT set). Those other sets are just a wee bit too cute (and pointy ear-centric--which your plant son hardly needs!).

Speaking of your plant son, did you use an ideal plant replacement for him?

(and will your dear plant son be ultra fertile--perhaps hatch a litter?)

What a great twist on the legacy... although talk about maknig things difficult for yourself with the light-loving PlantSim traits and the skinning-burning nocturnal behaviours of a vampire! What a combo!

Really enjoyed it, personally I can't use multi-PT sets so I don't know of any good ones. I attempted a multi-PT set and all the aliens came out as clones of their human parents in either regular or forced abduction. So I gave up on that dream and just made different alien faces and rotated.

Oh, goodness I loved this update! I wish I had seasons, now. you make plantsims look so fun!

I use this set by brilliantcat:
http://brilliantcat.livejournal.com/78295.html

it has an option to download a set that uses your defaults, or you can use the custom set, if you'd like.
