Hey, everyone! :) The simming community Holiday Love Meme is back! Please drop by allthingssimlish to sign up and spread some holiday cheer.

Also, how are you? Let's take this rare non-story livejournal post as an opportunity to say hi and maybe chat a bit. I miss all of you who aren't on Tumblr, and so rarely get a chance to chat even with those of you who are. I hope all is well and that you all have a wonderful holiday season ahead of you. :) And even if it's not or you don't, I still want you to know that I'm thinking of you and wish you the best.

I saw this meme on [livejournal.com profile] skellington7d's journal, and thought it sounded interesting. It was originally created by [livejournal.com profile] regacylady.

Please comment with events that will happen in Strangetown, Here We Come. This can include things you think will happen, things you know will happen, things I may have told you directly or indirectly, things you hope will happen (Haha, get your wish list in early, folks! XD), things you suspect, worst case scenarios, theories, etc. I would love to hear it. Anon commenting is enabled, but if you want to reveal who you are that's cool too. The comments will be screened.

This will serve as a reference for me to know what is already out there and what people are thinking. If there are any plot holes (that you've noticed... I know they're there), unanswered questions, or any other things that you're burning to know more about, feel free to throw those in too. I may be able to address them at some point, or at least ask that you kindly ignore them. :P

I'm making some really good progress on the next chapter, and have the next three all mapped out pretty much scene for scene. Thought I'd throw that in there. ;) There's going to be a lot of drama coming up. Or, to put it another way, I have set up a fan and will soon be throwing the mysterious contents of this bucket into it...

It's time for the fourth annual sims community holiday love meme at allthingsimlish. Please check it out and sign up, and then spread some anonymous love to your fellow simmers. ^_^ The more the merrier!

Thank you once again to naughtydolphin for creating this meme. It's one of my favourite things in the simming community, and such a nice way to kick off the holiday season.

It's that time of year again! The third annual sims community holiday love meme is up at [livejournal.com profile] allthingsimlish, so we can once again share the love for our fellow simmers. You should drop by, sign up, and anonymously leave a comment or two (or three or four...). It's fun to spread the warm fuzzies. ^_^

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] naughtydolphin for setting the community up and posting the meme year after year. You rock!

Look! A meme. I've been seeing this one around, and I thought it looked fun. And you all get to play along! It's about characters, so it'll be based on Strangetown, Here We Come. Here's how it goes:

1) Make a list of 15 characters first.

2) Ask your flist to post questions in the comments. (Go ahead, ask several! That's a lot of characters.) For example: "4, 6, 12 & 15 are starting a band together, what is their name and what kind of music do they play? Also, who's the lead singer, and what instruments do the others play?"

3) After your flist has asked enough questions, round them up and answer them using the 15 characters you selected beforehand, and then post them.

4) Guessing time!

The answers will be listed under the cut as they are guessed. )

I write like
Margaret Atwood

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

Since the tool says it uses word choice and writing style, I wonder if my Canadian spelling had anything to do with it. *shrugs* I'm more than happy to be compared to Ms. Atwood, either way.

Runners up were Stephen King and Chuck Palahniuk. I analyzed a whole pile of stuff, and these were the three that turned up the most.

Meme time! I try not to go overboard with memes, but this one just seems full of holiday good will. Won't you play along?

Description taken from the very first time it was posted:
'Tis the season to... make a million memes to let everyone know just how much you appreciate them and love them. :D

Here's the plan: You comment with your username, and people will comment ANONYMOUSLY with things they love and cherish about you. I say anonymously because it makes the atmosphere lighter and more mysterious, kind of like a Secret Santa only with love and holiday cheer! People will wonder who these caring people are and appreciate the fact that they exist, not only the fact that they may be best friends with them.

Then find people you care about and have something nice to say to - even if you don't know them! - and leave them something that will make their heart feel a little warmer at night. This way, the love will go around and around and the magical spirit of the season can be cherished and appreciated by all.

You can find mine right here. If you post one, you can comment here with your link and you just might get a little anon love of your own. ^_^

ETA: I now also have another thread at [livejournal.com profile] allthingsimlish , so you can go there instead. And why not join the new comm? It'll be fun!

Did you know that today is Delurking Day out there in the blogosphere?

That's right. So, let this be an invitation to anyone who'd like to introduce themselves and say hi. You know I'd love to hear from you. No pressure, of course, but you may as well delurk on Delurking Day, right? Come one, come all. Get a conversation started. I'm all ears.

This was a great day for me. I made some real progress on the next update, and there was RL good news all over the place. I was asked to interview for a job that had over 50 applicants and was pleasantly surprised to be offered another job that will stretch my experience significantly. I was also asked to be a bridesmaid in my "brother"s wedding this summer (actually a cousin, but we grew up together like siblings). I'd fully expect to win the lottery too, but I don't actually ever buy tickets.

Now, I should go out there and delurk too, shouldn't I?
