For anyone who's interested, here are all of the original characters from my stories (either created in CAS or born in-game). You can use these however you like. A wink and nod is not necessary, but always appreciated (especially the wink). If you use one of them for something, please give me a heads-up so I can check it out.






Sims from Strangetown, Here We Come

Any of the sims that I've created in CAS for a story, and those born in-game, will be posted here. They should be completely free of cc, with the exception of custom Lyran eyes on some of the CAS sims (if you must have them without, let me know), and I've dressed them up in base game hair and clothing, because I try to be thoughtful like that.

I have listed the cc and items from the EP/SPs that I've used on them in the story, and also the character stats needed to fully recreate them, but feel free to make them over however you see fit. In art school, one of my profs used to say that the secret to reinventing something is to just "turn it upside down and add a hat," so you might want to start there. Results may vary.

This is my version, created from Ripp and Buck's genetics, with some tweaking. I also took a stab at her personality, as you can see. I made it so that the boys would all have a logical mix of both parents.

Fun fact: Her name is a combination of Debbie Harry (of Blondie) and Karen O (of Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs), which hints at just how well she can rock out.

She's descended from the Maxis default PT (through breeding in CAS), as her cheekbones indicate.

Orion is so cute with his little Johnny Smith nose (okay, so it's Vidcund's nose, but basically the same thing). I think he's going to look a lot like Pierre Curious in Madame Ugly's Peculiar. Even better is his personality - it's like Ripp on crack. It's the same personality, only Orion's is completely extreme in every way. He's going to be a lot of fun.

Hooray for Worthingtons! :) Spread 'em around. I'd love to see what you do with them.

Maybe later I would be interested in Frances's folks. Before my Frances died in a kitchen fire I wasnt aware of, his girl at the time was pregnant with his twins. I miss him so much. I also see that in the new Apartment Life, i would have been able to bring him back, as for some reason none of my sims could through Grim's phone service. (I know there are hacks out there that could have helped, but didnt want to be bothered with all of that.) After installing FT, his tombstone vanished. Argh! lol

They have new info on the EP, Apartment Life. the new character will be WITCHES! yipee!! Go to the Sims 2 forum and read all the glorious info. Also, TSR, and Edenstyle has awesome info.

Anywho, I could have one of my witch sims bring a sim back to life. I probably need to collect some eye of newt and dragon scales. LOL

Oh right... the witches. :P I did read about that. Nothing says apartments to me like witches. That makes sense, right? *snicker*

I think I might actually be one of those people that hates on the idea of magic in the game (in the great Superstar vs. Making Magic debate, I'd definitely pick Superstar, and it makes more sense with the urban angle too). I'm not really all that interested in having witches, though I do appreciate it as an option.

It will be good for some storytellers, so I won't begrudge anyone that. I can't see myself ever really using them in a story (like vampires - probably not going to happen either), but that could change. The magic thing really made the most sense as another form of special sim, and it's a lot better than the lack of anything in FT (the genie doesn't really count).

The Apartment Life EP has me really excited. I already try to create apartments like that all the time, and already have multiple households on one lot, so that feature will be great.

Yep, i'm excited about the whole apartment concept as well. I could go on forever about that subject.

I love novels that contains paranormal beings, sword fighting, hot romance, and magic all in one. So now my witches will compliment all the freakin vampires and aliens and plant peeps i have in my game. Oh by the way, LOL I had one of the grand vampires swallowed by the cowplant, then brought back to life as a zombie, and now he a plantsimmy. sooooo He is part vampire/zombie/plant. Trying to keep him alive is hard work. LOL

He can turn into a bat, has fangs, walks like a zombie, but has arm across face like a vamp, he can sprout out a baby plant simmy but he can not procreate with other sims(has only water,love,sunshine needs) His skin is plantlike but has very slight vampire coloring. During the day when outside his water needs evaporates, (he steams like a vampire) quickly because of his vamp blood. So I make him take a bath and throw him in the coffin to stop his water needs from decaying, then i have to put the garden light over his coffin, because his sunshine need will deminish. LOL Too much work.

New goal? To have him be abducted so that he can hopefully have an alien baby. LOL

Wow. That sounds very interesting. I've heard that you can have almost all of the creature effects at the same time on one sim (with the exception of servos), but I've never tried it. What an odd balance of needs. The vampire and plantsim don't seem to mesh very well. I believe you when you say it's a lot of work to keep that sim alive!

Oh how awesome to see your original sims for download! ^^. I'm not in my computer right now, but I'll download the cute alien toddlers later (either Strangetown or my new neighborhood are always open for new alien inhabitants after all ^^).

Would you mind if I try to make a Multi PT set (default skin and eyes only) with them in the future?

Man! I could have used your Lyla Grunt too! I recently added her to the Broke Legacy as a somewhat important character, but since I'm lazy awful at creating sims, she's just a female, blonde Ripp. Well, maybe next time, but it's nice to see all these sims in here ^^.

I've been meaning to post some of these for ages now, but packaging them up in basegame gear, getting the stats, and photographing them was a bit of work (and I have more originals than you'd think for someone who uses mostly Maxis sims, don't I?), so I never got around to it until now. Now that it's set up, it will be easy to add more as I go along.

Oh, I would love to see some of the toddlers turn up in your work! :D I have Balizarde Roseland to upload too, but I'm going to let him make his appearance in the story first. I have another CAS alien sim and an extraction from an old Pleasantview I used to play that will eventually appear too, and I'm quite pleased with those sims. I can't say much more about them right now, but I look forward to introducing them at some point.

I wouldn't mind that at all. Thank you for considering them for it. :) You'd be getting the default PT and PT #9 genetics, with some features from the Curious brothers and Jenny. I would love to make my own default set like that at some point too, and if I do, I think I'll be making some original CAS aliens for it.

I didn't do a whole lot with Lyla either. I used the pacifier thing in CAS to make her the "child" of Buck and Ripp (yeah, that just seems so wrong). She has Ripp's eyes, but mostly Buck's facial shape. I tweaked her nose too. It's something like a cross between Ripp and Buck's nose, and still fairly large for her face, to make her make more sense (since Buzz has a tiny little nose). I'm not really a fan of cute little button noses, anyway. Well, on some people/sims, they're nice, but I prefer a strong nose.

Hooray! :D I'm very excited to hear that you've taken those particular sims, since I'm pretty proud of them. I'm sure I put a good hour of work into Mr. Doe. Eyebrows that impressive don't just happen in the blink of an eye. *snicker*

I thought I'd save those who wanted stats some time by including them (and those who don't care about the stats can just ignore them). I always want the stats if I clone a sim or steal them from someone else. I think the personality profile is a very important element of the sim.

Yeah, you can do whatever you like with him, genetics-wise. I think changing the colouring like that is an interesting idea, really, and I hear you about the dominant genes. In an earlier version, Mr. Doe was a blond, so that would be cool to see again.

As long as you don't mess around with the brows, I'm cool. :P (Well, you could, I suppose, but then he's not really my sim anymore, is he?)

Oh, cool. Go right ahead. :) He doesn't have Vidcund's genes, though. He's the son of Circe and Loki Beaker. Vidcund's genes can be found in Galaxy and Orion Curious.

For Doohickey, I'd also recommend Lillian Worthington. She has most of the questionable Worthington genes, like the short nose on females, and I think they would clash horribly with a sim with a long face. That's what I'd try, if I had enough time to do the PTGUC.

Is that for the Pixel_Trade Group Uglification Challenge? Vali Beaker is a very good choice, and you can get the most out of Jayne's eyebrows if you use a different brow type (like the Maxis thick brows or any number of custom brows).

It's funny that you left this message today, because I was thinking about updating this page just yesterday. I have a lot of sims (including quite a number of Maxis family creations/recreations, like the Worthingtons).

I completely forgot that I downloaded some of these Sims but looking at Mr Doe (I am imsothenetgirl who commented way back when, by the way) reminds me that although I didn't end up using him as a townie, I *did* use him in another way!

When I started my hood, I created a single mother and gave her twin girls. I wanted the girls to have varied genetics, so I added Mr Doe as their father in CAS. I'm a few generations in now and I just have to say that Mr Doe's mouth is *very* dominant! One of the twins passed it onto her daughter and her daughter passed it onto her own daughter, who you can see here.

The mouth shows up on lots of my other Sims too but you can see it the clearest in this picture of Rose. I just thought you might get a kick out of seeing Mr Doe's genes in action!

All my own experience with his genes have been the same. His features are very strong, so they tend to be very dominant. In my game, I've actually played around with breeding Jayne and those lips do tend to turn up in a lot of her offspring.

It's really great to see those genes in someone else's game, so thank you for that. I'm quite touched that you chose to use Mr. Doe.

You have no idea how much this request made me smile. (And that goes a long way right now, so I thank you greatly for that.)

I would love to share those Sims 3 recreations with you and with anyone else who's interested, but first I need to figure out how to export them without using the launcher or official Sims 3 site and all that (but I remain sort of wary of that). I believe I was looking into it a while back and saw a tutorial for another way to share sims, but I can't recall where. Do you know offhand where I could located one?
