Making Townies for Elsewhere

Since I missed out on the minty green skin with my alien children in the Tomato family, and I was really hoping to see alien genes passing down through the generations (looking for that elusive recessive alien skintone to turn up) I decided to add a household of hybrid sims to the neighborhood. I created them in CAS by breeding PT No. 9 with various Maxis sims with interesting faces. I really like the results!

I didn't use many of the usual suspects for this breeding experiment. I had a bunch of maxis sims in my downloads folder for other purposes, so i just used those.

Yeah, I could resist any longer. ^_^ She's too sweet not to share, and I think my plan to make her Edie's makes sense and keeps her in the family in much the same way, since Frances and Edie are close.

Perhaps I should do that. I ought to share them, anyway. I keep telling myself to upload some sims, but there are just so many of them now. I'll just have to take it one step at a time, I guess. I could take some close ups and them post these guys for download.

I was playing that family tonight and didn't see a single one of these, though. I made them townies, but they were a no-show. I was disappointed.

Oh, if it's going to be a pain don't worry about it. Since you've already released them into the wilds especially.

That's too bad that you didn't see any! I bet you will if you go to a few community lots. I send my sims lot-hopping sometimes just to find new contacts, it seems to help a lot! (But I am also terrible at watching for walk-bys, so I kind of have to!)

Nah, don't worry. I can tackle the Tomato Legacy sims now as a warm up for the S,HWC sims skattered throughout all the major Maxis neighborhoods (and even Castaway Stories). That's more what I was talking about being a pain, and it will be, but only because I procrastinate. Now there are a bajillion sims and I keep saying I'll share then, but never do. Time to start working on it, I think! :P

It's really odd. I did go to a community lot, but I kept seeing the same Maxis bin sims over and over. I made then into townies too, so they should be any different. I searched through my hack folder and found one that makes the walk-bys local, so maybe that had something to do with it. I took it out for a while, anyway, to see if it helps any.

I should have grabbed a couple of lazy (wo)man's headshots in CAS, but I forgot. I'll try to rectify this situation when I get a chance.

I'm going to looking into posting these guys. My track record is pretty bad (I never did post the RR Legacy sims, for example), but I'm attempting to turn over a new leaf.

I do the pixel_trade challenges and all that and still don't put the resulting sims up. (I just had someone ask me for one, so that's motivating me to finally do it).

I know. It's way too much like real work.

You'd think I'd make an effort to do so, because people can't use my sims in their p_t stuff if I don't ever share them, but still.... Nope. Too much work.

I really do need to get on that, so I'm going to start with my the stuff from my new legacy hood and then work on all the other neglected stuff, like the billions of sims born in-game.
