I've been scarce lately, I know. That's a combination of a self-imposed break from livejournal (aka gettin' off the crack), being really busy at work, and actually wanting to play the game during my off hours instead of posting/commenting. I'll be out of town for Thanksgiving this weekend (going to see the 'rents! Wooo!), so I doubt the next update will surface until after then. It's coming along, but not that quickly. It will happen next week, though, for sure.

I'm thinking about and working on some side-projects too. I'm feeling a little weird and tangential right now.

Isn't he a cutie. His looks are really unique, but he's not bad looking either. Chester's freaky nose actually fits his face. I think the HUGE eyes help.

Yeah, it was feeling like a big obligation and routine (like sending people cards - such a proper "womanly" thing that I fail at), so I knew it was time for a break. I just couldn't keep up with it in any sort of meaningful way, so I just checked out.

I've seen Chester throw some weird kids. I feel really lucky to get this jewel.

Oh wow... Riel is gorgeous! I pretty much thought Chester's children were always doomed to look ugly. Part of me wants you to upload him so I (and other members of pixel_trade of course) can have him in my game. :D

That outfit with the stripes that he's wearing is one of my favorite downloads. I think I have about three sims in Strangetown wearing that one and different colors of it- with Ripp being one of them. Yeah, I pretty much don't care about people in the desert wearing winter clothing.

So- JRO goes on a vacation in another chapter? That sounds fun!

I'll probably upload him soon. I plan to upload every sim I have right now that's my own creation, just as a record, so the prosperity challenge sims will go up too. I have some real gems in there. (More than Strangetown, because it moves faster.)

I like that download too. Much, much more than the original shirt with shorts and knee-socks, that I NEVER use. It's a pretty WTF outfit for me. I don't even think that's a very winter-ish outfit, really. I wouldn't wear it out in the snow, that's for sure. It looks like a light cotton shirt to me, but with long sleeves.

Yeah, there might be a little spring break (to a colder climate) in store for them.

I love Chester's alien kids. Heck, I love Chester, lol! I did a seven toddler challenge with him and a bunch of alien spawn once and just fell in love with all of those guys! :D

I know what it's like to feel tangental and wanting to play the game instead of writing/reading/commenting too. :) Take your time.

I remember that toddler challenge. That must have been hard. I recently had natural (well, with the hack) quadruplets in my prosperity hood, and James Davenport (a Tank-ish clone) had to raise them all by himself, since he had no partner. I managed to teach them almost everything, aside from two of them learning to walk, and the nursery rhymes (there was no time for singing in the house *snicker*). It was really challenging, but I think he did pretty well with it.

Yeah, it might be a good thing to go off on a tangent. I've had this one-shot planned for a while, so I might actually do it now (I've made some good progress on it). As much as I love chatting in livejournal at times, it can eat up your time for doing other things. It's a pretty big time waster.

Yeah, me too. Me too... :D He's such a silly sim too. I forgot to post the funny bathroom pic where Ripp walked in while Johnny was on the can and just stared at him with a smile on his face. Johnny's just holding up the newspaper, as if to say, "Do you MIND?" I'll have to show that one off later.

Hehe, it's funny that Ripp loves initiating vacation dances. The General in my game is in LOVE with slap dancing. He does it ALL. THE. TIME.

Riel is adorable. Why didn't he get the alien eye color (though, I love big ole anime eyes, too. They're so cute.) I'm just curious, since they're usually pretty dominant, right?

I LOVE HIS OUTFIT, TOO. I don't know where it's from, but I'm guessing MTS2? Maxis Dreams? I'll look around.

I've been getting PT#35 often as well. I used to get the redheaded one(#14?) all the time, now it's PT#35's turn.

I think with Maxis eyes/default replacements, the dark blue is = to the alien as far as dominance. That's why Pascal Curious can throw a dark blue-eyed alien about half the time. :D It seems dark blue is also = to brown, because out of a Bella Goth/Pascal Curious mating once I had two brown eyed children and two dark blue eyed children.

That's exactly right. The eye genetics are pretty simple. Dark blue, brown, and alien eyes are all equally dominant, and green, light blue, and grey are all equally recessive. The same is true of the hair, with brown and black being equal, and blond and red being equal (I've heard arguments about red being more recessive, but I don't think that's true).

Pascal and Bella, huh? ;) They have good chemistry, don't they? Even without secondary aspirations, they had bolts in my game, and that's very impressive for knowledge and romance. They must have compatible zodiac signs, or something.

They do have good chemistry for a Knowledge and Romance. I was able to get them up to 2 bolts (which is as much as you could have hoped for prior to Free Time, lol!)

She's a Cancer, and he's a Scorpio, and those are pretty compatible signs. It's not *the* most compatible (the most compatible with a Scorpio is a Pisces) but it's very close.

They were so fun together. I did it when someone on TSR posted she had gotten Bella as a blind date for Pascal when he only paid, like, $200 bucks or something and how they ended up being such a good couple. I had to try it out for myself. ;) And it's very true. Probably one of the most devoted sim couples I've ever had.

(Which is why I get so giggly when I see them together in your story. :D :D :D :D) Teehee.

I love fanseelamb way too much. Almost everything I have a guy wear (out of what I post online) ends up being from her! And I really get a kick out of seeing her Rufus Wainwright sim in almost every one of the pictures modeling clothes- sort of like where's Waldo. :P

Heheh. Like father, like son? The General has an odd personality. He's a lot like Tank in some ways, but he has that super outgoing side too (and he's mean). Ripp is the only son to inherit the General's boldness. It's funny, because that's something that would serve you well in the military, I think, and Tank doesn't really have it.

You can end up with normal sim eyes if the parent has dark blue or brown eyes, and then it's a 50% chance. Dark blue, brown, and alien eyes are all equally dominant. If the parent has a recessive eye colour, the alien eyes will always show. Riel's kids might have alien eyes, though, since that's definitely his recessive gene now.

I love fanseelamb so much for all the mesh conversions with the H&M jeans. They really are the only sensible male bottoms in the game.

I get No. 14 a lot too. Those PTs are working overtime. I've had the one with black hair (88?) once, with Jayne, and I've never had 56. He's just a lazy-ass pollinator, I guess. Or did he create Cosmo Broke, and retire after a job well done? :P

Yep, unfortunately 56 retired after he created Cosmo.

Last time I checked he had became part of the witness protection program and got some plastic surgery and dyed his hair red for some strange reason. I've heard rumors that he then became a manwhore, but has since retired from that job too. There have been sightings of the alien formerly known as PT 56 in the desert, where he has blond hair and is currently living with two amazing guys. :P

That's a really interesting thought. Makes a lot of sense. I never really though the military was "right" for Tank for some reason, he thinks it's right for him, since it's all he knows, but I always thought he could do something else. I DON'T KNOW. XD

I never knew that. I just realized now that all my sims that have been abducted have had recessive genetics, so I've always thought the alien genes were dominant.

Cosmo Broke is one awesome sim, he must have thought his work was done. "I've created a masterpiece. No need for this anymore.. *tucks in probe*" I've gotten #56 once, with Brady Piper. I also got #88 with Vidcund's daughter. I think I have a picture of her. YES I DO. She was adorable! I constantly get the other two. They must be running out of pollen or something. XD
