For anyone without the time and/or inclination to read my Sim Storytellers interview, this wordle will also give you the general idea of what was discussed. It's amusing to see this spell out my overuse of such words as like, just, really, and pretty, among others. I was using a conversational tone, as I usually do in this journal, so I'm not really surprised (there I go again). Just is easily my most overused word in all of my writing. It's all over this story like a rash.

I was slightly amused by these word pairings: make love, take back, best Frances, real Tank, and Ripp wanted things. Nothing too, too funny, but it's always interesting to see what combinations these wordles throw out.

That's a really prominent just in there. I like how large "dick" is in that one too. (And appropriately linked to Ripp, so it says "Ripp dick.") Can you tell which update this was? I like how this one spells out "yeah, really" too.

From the words "florence", "flowers", and "shop", I would say the one where they go to Florence Delarosa's shop? (the one with the dirty pic that photobucket banned) :P

I cant view the wordle right now because the music lab computer wouldn't let me. But I really would like to try that for myself when I get home!

Yeah, the huge Florence gives it away, doesn't it? I love how the dick conversation between Johnny and Ripp repeated dick, dickweed, and dickhead enough for them to turn up in the wordle. I think dicks is in there too. :P

You'll like playing around with wordle. It can be pretty addictive.

It was a great interview; I feel like I know you better now, even through the intertubes.

Thanks. It's funny you say that... I'm always a little reluctant about the idea that you can make real connections on the internet, but I have felt like I've come to know a lot of the people in the sims community pretty well.

Oh I think you can make real connections with people on the internet; you just have to be a bit more careful because the anonymity makes lying so much easier...gotta make sure you're not connecting with some weirdo. Weirdo in the bad sense, I mean...not strange-weird like us. :D

That's true, but it's not even so much that part, for me. I just wonder, at the end of the day, if being "internet friends" really means anything. Everyone is so abstract. I'd like to think that people really make connections, but I'm not sure if they do. If I suddenly stopped posting and left the sim community, I'm pretty sure it would all go on without me, and it wouldn't be a big deal for anyone... that sort of thing. (Though I have wondered about people during absences like that, and even worried, so maybe I'm wrong.)

I know it's a pretty pessimistic way of thinking about it, but I've been involved in other communities that I've eventually moved on from. I think you can form real friendships if you put the effort in, but I think it would probably have to involve some tangible interaction, like maybe writing an actual letter. Then again, pen pals come and go too. People you meet in person come and go. They do count as real friendships, while they last, but it's all pretty ephemeral.

That's not to say that I don't appreciate it while it lasts. :)

I can understand where you're coming from. Most of the people we meet online are just faceless screen names. Though I have really connected with several people through the years...I even met one in person! She and her husband are really cool people and I felt special to be included in their list of people to visit when they went on a road trip...they live in Saskatchewan, I'm in Idaho.

I think it depends on fandom, too. It's hard to imagine certain fan cliques ever getting really close, while others just seem to naturally bond with you.

That's very cool that you met one of your online friends in person. It would be great to make that personal connection with someone you know only through the written word. If anyone I know from this community was going to be in Newfoundland, I would try to do that, but it's so far out of the way... I guess there's more chance that I'd end up where they live.

That's true. It depends on the people.

Wow those are so awesome! Hee hee... just. I use that word a lot too. :D

I had to try one for myself, so I found the one challenge I did here about myself and hubby and copied it in there...

I really like it! I think it sums our lives up just about right. :D

LOL - "Just fucking." You have no idea how much I laughed at that part.

Very cool. You got a lot of different and interesting nouns.

LOL I laughed at that too. :D

I'm surprised the word "farm" isn't in there more, and "money." I'm sure if it was done from Brian's point of view the three biggest words would be "Sex," "Money," and "Farm." Hee hee hee hee.

Yes, lol. I also giggled at how at the top of mine in smaller letters it says "fuck attempted" *SNORT*

It's posed almost exactly like your other one, but there's something about it that I like better. I think your simself has a better smile in this one.

LOL, I just can't get past the "Fuck attempted" at the top of the page... that made me think of my Vidcund, he was in love with a townie and no matter what he did, she would always reject woohoo with him... I think it might have been a bug, since they both had high lifetime scores

"Fuck attempted" killed me too.

Your Vidcund story makes me laugh, especially because it's Vidcund. I just can't imagine him having much luck with the ladies.

Yeah, I find it very funny myself.

Oh! By the way, I think I mentioned in a previous post of yours about your cat that I'd be getting a kitten sometime soon...

Well, I just adopted a beautiful little male, and he was so curious when I played with him at the SPCA. And once that thought stuck in my head, well, I'll have a pic of little Pascal up on my journal soon. LOL

Oh, what a great name for a cat. That's awesome. I love the idea of naming him after a sim character.

I'd love to see a pic of him. :)

He's beautiful, think of the Russian Blue breed, and you've got his coloring.

I'll have a pic up tomorrow evening probably, assuming he's feeling well enough to be pretty for me. I had to leave him at the SPCA until tomorrow afternoon, since they require neutering before release.

Oh, cool. My Suki looks something like that too, even though she isn't a pure breed. She has that blue-grey colouring.

Well, whenever he's rested up and ready for his photo shoot, I'd love to see him.

Suki looks like she's just a little darker than Pascal, he's more dark charcoal grey with the bluish color. I've seen the other photos you've put up of her and she is absolutely gorgeous!

I have no idea what breed he is. I got him at the SPCA (I absolutely love no-kill shelters) and he was listed as simply a domestic short hair breed, so he's almost definitely a mix of some sort.

Poor Vid, lol.

I shouldn't laugh. One time (before my kids started playing this game) I had downloaded a patch from an adult sims2 website that changed the language in the game. It changed the word "woohoo" to "fuck" and "try for baby" to "cum inside." O_O No lie, it was a hoot.

Anyway, I had Vidcund (poor guy, lol!) try to get busy with a townie and he was rejected... and his memories said he was rejected for a fuck. :D :D :D :D

If I had that mod, I think I'd make a point to always make the woman be the one to "cum inside." Take that, assumptive language! :P Sounds like it would be funny to play like that.

LOL - Rejected for a fuck. That's hilarious.

It would weird me out if it was recorded that way in the memories, though. Did it stay even after you removed the mod?

Date: 2008-09-25 11:45 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cindyanne1.livejournal.com
No, it didn't stay, thank Goodness. But it did overwrite the word woohoo everywhere it happened... memories, wants, when you clicked on the objects (bed, etc.) Everything. It even changed the sub language, like for the woohoo 20 sims want... I forget exactly what it was, but it said something about the sim being a whore, lolol.

I got it at pandora sims2. It's still there, aaaaand it's been updated for Apartment Life already. :D. But no... even though it was fun for a time I can't take that chance with the kids and play with it again. :P

LOL I love wordle. I love it when two hilarious words get stuck together. Ripp and dick. That's SO appropriate. I use like way too much. In speaking and in typing. I'm so redundant when I speak sometimes. :P

I remember doing one for this journal and the largest word was "HATE." It said a lot about my legacies. XD Now I feel like doing it again.

Gnome is so huge. ;__;

It was a Ripp-dick. :P That's a certain type of dick, you know.

A lot of time the likes I use are when I'm saying "I like..." or to set up a quote or something. But I'm all about leaving in all that crap language anyway. It's a conversation, not an academic essay. I like typing the way I would speak.

Heheh. Gnomes and hate. That's quality entertainment.
