I was digging through some old files and thought I'd share some of these shots from an asylum challenge I was playing once upon a time with the LFT kids from Strangetown, Here We Come.

Any asylum challenge featuring Ripp will likely end up with a scene like this one in it. Along with liking the smell of his own armpits and farts, he has no qualms about getting totally naked and washing up at the sink.

Also, please note the smoke coming from the oven.

Stella (the controllable sim) would go deal with the burning food, but naked Ripp makes it impossible to enter the kitchen. *sigh*

I have no idea why Tank and Johnny are getting along in the background. I'm pretty sure they did nothing but fight in this challenge, due to constantly hitting on girl's that each other had crushes on (mostly Johnny doing the flirting, to Tank's dismay).

Frances decided to stop writing in his journal to go check things out.

*dun dun DUN*

Not good.

Stella: Do something! I CAN'T go in there!

Well, that's great because she's the only one I had control over.

Ripp finally clued in. Still naked.

Frances: I'm just going to stand here awkwardly next to you while you're naked, okay?

Ripp: Look behind you!

*cue mass panic*

Frances: Wait, what are you doing back there? You're standing awfully close to me...

Ripp: Less talk, more panicking!

Frances: Okay, okay!

And then Frances sort of swoons and faints and Ripp catches him. Not really, but it would've been funny.

Then everyone stopped caring that Ripp was naked and joined the panic, the fire dept. was called and eventually the fire was put out. I'm pretty sure some of the patients died first, though. I don't have much photographic evidence, but I believe it was Johnny.

I really should try another premade asylum. They're a lot of fun, with the right combo of characters.

Oh dear. Haha, you know, this is what a lot of non-Sims-players think The Sims is all about. Get them naked and set them on fire or lock them up in empty rooms without doors.

Haha. That's so true. It's all about setting them on fire and drowning them in the pool, isn't it?

That reminds me, you could actually kill off sim children that way in Sims 1, couldn't you? Am I remembering that right?

You could indeed. I, er, used to drown children that grew up with that idiotic wizard hat on their head (which I knew no way to get rid of)... I had no real good reason other than that I thought it looked really stupid, especially because they slept/showered/did everything with it on. That, and I was never especially attached to the sims in TS1, it was more a game I fiddled around with from time to time, setting up one family and playing it for a few days and then getting bored and starting all over when I got an urge to play again a few months later. ...Getting bored often involved setting sims on fire or locking them in empty, doorless buildings, too. :P

Can't you kill sim children with fire in TS2, too? I'm sure I did that once... Not toddlers or babies, though, they're entirely immortal. I think the social worker might come if you try drowning kids, although I've never tried.

Ripp: Less talk, more panicking!

This line made my day!

Unbelieveable that Ripp considered his hygiene more important than the Sim-Firedance, lol XD

I'm glad it was good for a laugh. :)

He did join in shortly after the fire broke out, but neglected to put his clothes back on first. I guess that makes sense, though. Clothing would be the least of your worries in that situation. :P

Heh, for me even firedancing would be out of question. But I'm no Sim XD

Is there an LJ comm just for asylum challenges? I love this stuff. :) How can you not love naked people panicking about fires?

That's a good question. I don't know of one, but maybe someone else who reads this can point you to some sort of comm or collection post for them.

There's a legacy comm, of course, and there was one for prosperity challenges and build a city challenges, and even one specifically for round robin shared legacy games. It would be great to see one for asylum challenges. They're so short and entertaining!

I'm glad you found it amusing. I would've posted the whole thing (which wasn't even finished), but the photos no longer seem to be in any sort of order or make any sense to me. Oh well.

The pic above the cut would make a nice banner for S:HWC. Naked Ripp! Drama! Also, Franny's suffering.
