I followed
meetme2theriver 's directions for replacing the facial structure of the broken Maxis sims to give Jessica her fixed face, and then proceeded to breed up a family for the Picasos. Seems to have worked like a charm. Thanks, Meetme!
I've included a photo of my results, but be warned that it's a minor spoiler for the story. ;)

Date: 2010-12-28 11:56 am (UTC)That's good news. Let me know if you need any help, okay?
I was also thinking that the facial substitution method might be the way to go to recreate Mint Curious, since her daddy is already heavily pregnant. I'm not sure how sketchy it is to abort the pregnancy in-game. Thoughts?

Thanks. :) Hopefully it won't be too difficult, but Sophia's face seems a little fiddly, so we'll see...
Hm, yeah, you could probably recreate Mint that way. I don't see why not. Everything else is easily editable. I don't think aborting the pregnancy ingame will cause any trouble either, though. Before the Ottomi (or rather, the handling of pregnancies when merging neighbourhoods/subhoods/stealthhoods) was fixed, I used hack tools (I think InSim, at the time) to abort Samantha's second "trimester" borked pregnancy and replace it with a proper one with Peter as the father, and it wasn't a problem. You're just removing a token, after all. (I remember this solution for fixing the Ottomas pregnancy was actually censored at TSR at some point, because ZOMG ABORTION.)
