Did you know that the practical joking element of April Fools Day was most likely started in France? In France (or French cultures, like in French Canada) the person being fooled is referred to as a poisson d'avril, or April fish. This originally had something to do with the zodiac, and the French traditionally celebrated April Fools Day by placing dead fish on the backs of their friends. (No, I'm not making this up!)

Ripp: Ooooof!




Johnny: Oh, NICE! A direct hit!

Ripp: Owwww! Watch the face, Johnny!

Johnny: Fish in the face!




Ripp: I'll bet you'd fucking love that, huh, Johnny? A big face full of fish?

Johnny: Don't get it in my mouth! I'm a vegetarian!

Ripp: That doesn't count, John.




Johnny: Face your defeat, Ripp. You're no match for me.

Ripp: Yeah, you have all the fucking skills, Johnny. Nobody slings a fish around quite like you do.

Johnny: Good workout! Now I don't need to go for a jog.

Ripp: Why jog when you can play with giant fish?




Ripp: Another challenger, hey? You'll be sorry, Phi...

Ophelia: Oh, we'll see about that!

Ripp: *gets pummeled*




Ripp: You call that a fish slap?! You hit like a girl, Phi!

Ophelia: So do you!

Ripp: You'll pay for that remark!

Ophelia: Bring it on!




Ripp: It's easy to hit such a nice, round target!

Ophelia: Hey! Watch it!

Ripp: *thinking* Such a sweet, sweet target...




Ophelia: It's not THAT big!




Ripp: Nothing wrong with a little junk on the trunk, Phi. Nothing at all... *stares*

Ophelia: You're an April fool alright. Get your face out of there!

Ripp: This is my favourite day of the year. Fuckin' sweet...




Ophelia: You're in for it!

Ripp: Oh, that's right! Punish me.

Hee Hee, I don't know what's funnier: The dialogue between those three (classy as always, Ripp :P), the fact that they are fighting with FISH or the fact that there are FEATHERS coming out from said fishes!

I swear the more I see Ripp drooling for Phi, the more I want you to make him happy - in a very bad way. It's making me think back to when he was doing that chick in Phi's bed and how maybe it wasn't just an "accident" that he wound up in that bed, perhaps he was playing out some fantasy of his own. I love that there may be one woman out there that Ripp truly desires, but at the same time the whole Johnny factor makes me want to smack Ripp - possibly with a slimy dead fish. ;)

That's a good observation about Ripp's choice of location for that session. I'm sure there may have been something to it, and he was very upset about having her find him in there, wasn't he? Ophelia really might be exactly what Ripp needs, but yes, there is the Johnny factor to consider. Could trouble be brewing?

OMG... this is so funny! Oh, I'm sorry about that! I must have missed it. An easy way to do it would be to click on "post" from your own journal and then select simstorytellers from the "post to:" menu. It should be included there if you are a member.

(I think part of the problem is that our new layout does not show the personal navigation bar right now, and the "post to this community" link is usually in that. We're looking to fix that soon.)

Fish scales would have been so cool, but there's something sort of absurdly funny in its own right about hitting someone with a fish and having feathers shoot everywhere.

Wish I had saw this sooner- I love it! I already find all the autonomous pillowfights in my game (almost everyone in my next generation of sims is really high in playful points) entertaining enough, but this would definitely make me rofl whenever I saw it!

By the way, it must have gotten buried in your friends list but the entry where Ripp gets "inspired" by the fishies is up.

It's a pretty great mod, but I don't think I'd be able to tolerate this in my game all of the time. It's fun to throw it in there from time to time for a laugh, though.
