As I mentioned yesterday, I've been playing ahead in Pleasantview (the version that exists in S,HWC) and doing some breeding. Here's a family that I've only showed off once before in the story, at their wedding. With Cassandra being a family sim, you can imagine that they have a few children by now. I wanted to show them off.

The Dreamer Family (in order of age): Darren, Cassandra, Dirk (not shown, since he lives on his own now), Diana, Moira, and Beatrix.

Diana didn't fall far from the tree, and is a Family/Knowledge sim (she's a teen now). She's very successful at the knowledge part of it, and has already maxed all her skills, thanks to the lovely eggplants they grew. She hasn't been so successful in her romantic persuits, but she's still young.

Moira is the only one that looks anything like Cassandra, feature-wise.

Beatrix resembles her older sister, Diana, but has different colouring.

I suspect the Cordial sisters would be very pleased with Cassandra's brood of girls. She's done the family proud.

You should play them! They're lots of fun. I'm also having a lot of fun with the lot, slowly adding landscaping and renovating the house (goodbye, white vinyl siding! XD) as they become more successful and have the family funds.

I actually really like the Dreamer's house, just as it is. It seems realistic to me, ugly carpet and all. :P I'm changing things, but trying to keep that same homey feel about it. Just building on what's already there, more or less.

I always find Darren and Cassandra's kids to be very cute. :) They always end up being the perfect family and she typically has twins in my game.

They're completely new to me. I've had them have kids before, but never aged them past babies.

The twin thing is way more common in my game since FreeTime (and it was bad enough anyway!), and lately I've been feeling the wrath of the triplet and quad mod. Heheh. Crazy, but fun.

I realise I've never really bred these two (or played to see their offspring, anyway). Now I want to!

It's a first for me, too, actually! I didn't really notice the slightly Nervous-esque slant of Darren's eye until I saw them on his daughters. And I love his wide nose. There aren't enough wide noses in the Maxis sims. I do love a good wide nose on occasion.

I agree about the wide noses. The nose is probably the most defining feature in most sims' faces. I'm rather fond of the Maxis face template with the wide nose, the "Chandler Platz" one.

Yeah, that's a good one. I really enjoy mixing and matching the templates in BodyShop, using the sliders for each feature. Nose from here, eyes from there, on and these lips, and so on...

I'm confused, why would the Cordial sisters care about Cassandra's kiddies? Cassandra's Pleasantview and aren't the Cordial sisters from Belladonna Cove with several EPs and SPs in between? Is Cassandra a witch in your game? Did I miss a drabble or something?

The girls are cute. They aren't part of that genetic experiment that your SO commented about...?

You might have missed it. The Cordial sisters are Bella Goth's Aunts. Jocasta was their sister in my version of things (and since no name is given for Jocasta before marriage, there's nothing to say that it couldn't have been Cordial), and thus these girls are of the same bloodline as the Cordials.

So, yes. They're all witches. They just don't know it yet.

Oh, and the Cordial thing is first mentioned here, and also again here.

This wasn't the genetics I was talking about in the last post, but it might be somewhat related.

Edit: I should also mention that the Goth family has been in Pleasantview for generations, but Bella married into that family, so we don't know where her relatives might have lived before that. In my mind, Jocasta was from Belladonna Cove. When she met Simis Bachelor, she eventually decided to give up her witch heritage and make a move, leaving it all behind. Bella and Michael were not even aware of the fact that they are descended from witches.

I'm a new lurker to be sure. I'm in love with SHWC, I've read all of what you have on it in only a few days. :D

It's always interesting to see what people have done with the whole Cassandra/Darren/Don thing in PV. I myself kind of killed it. I actually had Don marry Brandi, when I was pleasantly surprised to see they had 3 bolts in my game. And then Cassandra had to fuck it up by doing some stupid romantic shit on a lot where none of them were controllable. XD Serves me right I suppose.

ANWAYS, I ramble to much. Diana is simply adorable. :D

Nice to meet you! ^_^ I'm glad you've enjoyed what you've read so far. I'm hoping to get a new chapter out in the next week or so. I've had a lot of material floating around for a while now, half written, half shot. I've just been distracted by real life and actually playing the game (which is too fun to pass up).

Hahah, I love when autonomous actions throw a monkey wrench in things. That's one of the real joys of the game for me. Do you use ACR? Since I started using it, I've been quite pleased with the random element it has brought to my game. I couldn't make that stuff up if I tried! :P (Well, maybe... I have an overactive imagination.)

One of my own early takes on Pleasantview was very much "off the rails" from the implied story. I had Brandi marrying Mortimer Goth, which seemed to solve her money issues quite nicely and got Dina out of the picture. I usually pair Cass up with Darren, but she's almost always carrying Don's child when they get married (with or without the divorce). I spared her this time.

Thanks. She's even sweeter as a teen. I may have to show some updated pics.

They look like a great family! Darren is a very popular guy in my 3-in-1-hood (lots and lots of three bolters) but after seeing this there might be hope for Cassie yet ;)
