Extras: Character-building glitches

Delilah O'Keefe's friends knew her to be a tad extreme in her interests and behaviour, as her obsession with all things yellow clearly illustrated, but her recent habit of downing a whole six pack of Red Llama energy drinks at once was more than a little unsettling.

And normally, I tend to avoid yellow, especially bright yellow. It's not one of my favourite colours. This gives me a chance to use cc I never touch.

Date: 2010-02-03 04:07 pm (UTC)I love running with the little details in the descriptions too. They're so much better in the base game/earlier EPs. The later ones have too many questions about the character's future ("Will he get fat?" *snickers*) and not enough little fun quirks like that.
I like the dress she's wearing, may I ask where it's from?

Date: 2010-02-03 04:37 pm (UTC)Did we talk about the lame bios in the newer hoods? (My memory is seriously non-existant these days, so forgive me for forgetting.) I found that "getting fat" drama to be the most ridiculous non-story to even make it into a bio. I guess that's what happens when you try to make a story solely revolve around hobbies (fitness and cuisine, I think it was, right?).
The original hoods are awesome for that, though. Things like Erin Beaker thinking she's psychic, which had no relation to any in-game feature until Uni (I just recently decided to actually make her a psychic phone friend and keep her at that career level). It's the same with Mary Sue and her pottery. Since FT, I always have her pick it up again after Daniel takes a hike and she has so much more free time (lol) on her hands.
That dress is the Beach Dress by Sentate at MTS2. There have been other versions created with different shoes (check wella_creations and maybe GoS), though none that I prefer to the sandals (now a cute flat would be a different story...). I love boots and converse sneakers as much as the next person, but there's a time and a place and the slinky sundress is neither.

Date: 2010-02-03 04:50 pm (UTC)I don't remember if we had a conversation about it or not, but I do remember you commenting on the "Will he get fat?" bio (with those exact words) and I found it very funny. The SO and I still use that phrase to mock the half-assedness of Desiderata Valley. :D Riverblossom Hills also suffers from the 'let's focus every aspect of every character on introducing the new EP stuff' syndrome, but not quite as badly, I think.
Hee, I've done those things with Erin and Mary-Sue, too. It's great. :D And John Burb and his gardening, too. And Angela Pleasant's bio says she wants to... captain a boat or something. With the oceanography career, she almost can!
Ooh, thanks for the link. I love it. I don't like GoS' tendency to put big huge stompy boots on everything. On some things it works fine, but not on a dress like this.

Date: 2010-02-03 04:41 pm (UTC)Thanks. It was fun to go crazy with yellow, and she is an artist, so I think it works for her.
