I'm not sure how I managed to do this, but Tank's scar is missing. I think it might have been deleted in a custom content purge of some sort. I did delete the entire glasses/accessories folder, due to an issue that I was having (and I just had a lot of useless junk in it), so maybe it was in there. When I opened up Worthington's lot, Tank no longer had the scar, and oddly, he was wearing the General's face paint again. I don't have time to worry about what that behavior might mean (besides the fact that Frances ought to stay away from Tank for today), because I need to find that scar. A search on MTS2 found nothing, and I was sure that was where it came from. Now I'm worried that I found it in some remote corner of the internet and I'll never find it again. If you can tell me where this might have come from, I would greatly appreciate it.
(Oh, and there are some bonus funny pics. Just 'cause.)

Any ideas? I know that I had a matching one that was for the chin too, which is also missing. They're very simple looking, as you can see here.

Ripp: Have you checked the garbage? Sometimes Nervous puts random things in the garbage for no reason. He's pretty fucking weird like that.
Me: No, Ripp, I hadn't thought of that. (I wonder why?) But it seems like you're going to check it out for me...

Me: Did you find anything?
Ripp: Yeah... looks like I found something really good.

Me: Ummm... Did you just EAT something from the garbage, Ripp?
Ripp: What?! Yeah. It was still good! What's wrong with that?!
Me: That's just nasty, Ripp.
See? I need help. These sims are just not helping me.
ETA: It has been located! Thanks
ndainye!

Ripp, dear, if you're going to eat from the garbage, take a tip from George Costanza. You can only eat it if it's on the top (and it helps if it's an eclair or other sweet). I can clearly see you're in that can up to your arm pit. NOT COOL.

Date: 2008-03-04 02:24 am (UTC)Do they get food poisoning from doing that? That would be funny. That'll teach him to stay out of the garbage.
*snort* Good advice (and I love George Costanza). But he's definitely going for something right at the bottom of the can.

Date: 2008-03-04 02:52 am (UTC)Yeah, that one from the sims resource looks a lot like tanks scar! Poor Tank, at first he was so embarrassed by the scar that he had to put war paint on to cover it up, and now he's so used to showing the scar that he's embarrassed that it's not there so he's covering his face again!
Which reminds me, after a lot of trial and error, I was able to recover Strangetown! So I (of course) play the Grunts first; Johnny and Ophelia come over and he starts congratulating Ophelia non-stop. I'm talking 20 times in a row... For nothing! Oh, and his turn ons for me were makeup and a good cook, go figure.

Date: 2008-03-04 03:17 am (UTC)It's definitely the right one. I checked it out. I'm so happy.
*snicker* I know. I have no idea why Tank had the paint on again. It can't be a good sign for his mental health, though.
Oh, good to hear that you recovered Strangetown! And too funny that Ripp was doing that. He can be little obsessive when it comes to Ophelia, though, so I'm not surprised. Though I have yet to see him autonomously flirt with her, which is a little odd, since Tank did it, and Ripp has much higher chemistry with her (must be because of Johnny).
Those sound like very Ripp appropriate turn ons, especially in my story (when I get the new turn ons in Free Time, I am seriously considering giving him the "good cook" one, since he's so all about that).

Date: 2008-03-04 04:07 am (UTC)Ripp's the kind of sim that I'd just leave on free will all the time because he's just so entertaining to watch!
I literally had to pull him away from Ophelia. And no matter how many times I told him to stop it he would go back to bugging her again! He missed work because of it.
Hehe yeah, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach... At least it is for Ripp. He sure is eager to please!
The way I finally got the neighborhoods back was very complicated and tedious and I really hope I never have to do that again. What happened was that after all of my neighborhoods vanished, stupid me decided to make 2 totally new ones instead of recovering the maxis made ones first. So those 2 towns turned into neighborhood 1 and 2 replacing Pleasantview and Strangetown. With many tries, I went into the Sims program files, copied and pasted the three towns into the saved game files, copied my two neighborhoods I created into a backup file, created 2 new neighborhoods in the game, and then copied the data that was in the old neighborhoods and put it into the new ones. I re-loaded the game and I saw that it didnt work, so I had to go to the files again, and re-name every single package in that stupid folder to neighborhood 4 and 5 instead of 1 and 2. Then it finally worked, but my wrist hurt from all the clicking I had to do. We're talking hundreds of files here, and it took about 3 hours.
I'm sure there was an easier way to do it, but at least I got the results I wanted from all that work. Now I just need to rest my wrist for a loooong time.

Date: 2008-03-04 02:58 am (UTC)And why do I get the feeling that it wasn't completely necessary to have Ripp help out? You just wanted an excuse to stare at his messiness, didn't you?

Date: 2008-03-04 03:21 am (UTC)Ripp insisted on helping out! He just started rooting through the garbage for me. *snicker* Actually, I've just wanted an excuse to show those for a while. Eating out of the garbage is too funny. It's almost as bad as loving the smell of your own rotten armpits (which Ripp also does).

Date: 2008-03-04 04:02 am (UTC)I've never seen a sim eat out of the garbage in my game. Never. Maybe if I play Ripp, he'll do it. Rotten armpits? Ewww. Why am I not surprised?

Date: 2008-03-04 12:39 pm (UTC)Ripp does some funny things when he's not controllable. He takes forever to leave a house in the night too, in my experience. Many sims will say it's too late after 1:00 am, but Ripp often stays around until at least 4:00 am. Just last night I was playing (putting the scar back on Tank, etc.), and he stayed over there all night watching TV with Frances. (Maybe Frances took a hit off the bubble blower too.)
I would imagine that the food poisoned sim would just get sick and throw up, then decide that they aren't having a good time, and just go home. I hate when that happens.
This is completely off topic, but LOOK!
