Prompts: Threesome, What could possibly go wrong?
Character: Johnny Smith, Ripp Grunt, Ophelia Nigmos
Wordcount: 462
Warnings: none
Someone was nice enough to point me in the direction of the
sim_spiration community recently (thank you,
swhedonberry !), and I couldn't resist this prompt, for obvious reasons. It's more or less the standard fare for these three, but it takes place "in the future, when all's well," which may or may not be accurate. You can be the judge of whether it's the real future or if it's just wishful thinking.
"The first one is supposed to be a throw-away," Johnny commented without turning his head.
"Nonsense," Ripp said, "there's nothing wrong with it." He proved his point by picking the pancake up from the pan with his bare hands, blew on it a couple of times, and then stuffed it into his mouth all at once.
Johnny walked over and poked him in the stomach. "This is why you're getting fat, you know."
"Wha? Fat?! Who's fat?" he whined, through a full mouth.
"What's this, then?" Johnny gripped some soft, loose skin around Ripp's midsection.
"That's nothing! Just some flab. It's normal. I need that for padding — they're love handles!"
Johnny smirked. "Yeah, I'll bet."
"Just because you can eat like a pig and never gain weight..." Ripp sputtered.
"I work out," Johnny corrected, "so I'm allowed to eat like a pig." He watched the pancakes piling up, and his stomach growled. "Those ready yet?"
"Keep your pants on, Smith. They'll be ready in a minute."
"You're telling ME to keep my pants on? You're not even wearing any!"
"What do you call these?"
"Those are boxers."
"Pants."
"No, boxers. Underwear."
"Okay, then. Fine. I'm not wearing any pants." He reached back and pulled the boxers down over his behind, revealing a pair of cheeks and a small tattoo.
"Oh, god." Johnny groaned. "I still can't believe you got that. And there. Why there? I'm so sick of seeing that thing."
"The tattoo or the ass?"
"Do I really have to choose?" Johnny watched as Ripp wiggled it back and forth at him. He then also went on to absent-mindedly reach down into the front of his boxers, made some adjustments, and went back to flipping the pancakes. Johnny was about to make a comment about kitchen hygeine when Ophelia strolled into the room, yawning.
"Oh, geez. Not again... Ripp, do we really need to see that every five minutes?"
"Yes."
She reached over and pulled the boxers up, much further than necessary, causing Ripp to yelp.
"Hey hey hey! Watch it! Precious cargo!"
"You were asking for it," she said.
"You're asking for it," he said with a grin, and started chasing her around the kitchen, then grabbed her, pinned her down to the floor, and started tickling her.
"No! Ripp, no!" she shrieked through laughter.
"Pancakes, Ripp! The pancakes!" Johnny said. "They're going to burn."
"Yeah, I'm kinda busy here. Get that, would you?"
"Ripp, no! Stop tickling!" Ophelia begged.
Johnny sighed. "Yeah, alright."
"Thanks." Ripp laughed, and then let up on the tickling. "Had enough?"
She set her jaw in mock anger, and glared at him. "Yes, I've had enough."
"Good." He leaned down over her to steal a kiss.
Then a hot pancake landed on his back.

Date: 2009-09-03 09:39 pm (UTC)Ophelia is lucky. :P
I hadn't heard of that community. I checked it out, and... meh. it's not for me. I need some simspiration for sure, but I think I'll pass.

Date: 2009-09-03 10:29 pm (UTC)Yeah, she sure is. I'd say they can irritate the shit out of her sometimes, but I'm sure the good outweighs the bad, for sure.
I don't expect to contribute to it all that much, but a little prompt here and there can be a good thing, and it's quite active (like sim_scenes). That's nice to see.

Date: 2009-09-03 10:49 pm (UTC)Thgat's amazing. I love that, becvause everyone thinks that Phi is this angel who will tolerate their shit, but it's good to know she does get upset at them.
Mmhmm. I actually got the writing bug thinking about one of those prompts. I might just write it out and post it, my Sims journal has been so dead lately. D:

Date: 2009-09-04 10:04 am (UTC)I think she's pretty patient, with a high tolerance level for their bullshit (since she's used to it), but they must get on her nerves at times. When they're together, they're constantly gabbering at each other, not quite fighting, but tossing one-liners (and pancakes) at each other and squabbling over stupid little things.
I'm glad you got inspired. I'm still waiting for your story update. Get unclogged! :P

Date: 2009-09-03 09:54 pm (UTC)That was adorable; they're just so happy and comfortable together. <3 Even if Ripp does need to fear the wrath of Phi's wedgies and Johnny's toasty warm pancakes. :P

Date: 2009-09-03 10:32 pm (UTC)Also, I don't have the tats yet.
I love writing happy little scenes like this. I guess I'll have to give all the characters happy endings soon, so I can just play house with them all day. (Not going to happen, but a nice thought...)
Thank you. ^_^

Date: 2009-09-03 10:21 pm (UTC)I particularly like how you combined a few things together too - Breakfast, Relations and People. Thats a Threesome in itself :D
PS: Hold on.. Isn't Johnny a Vegan or a Veggie..? *Confuzzled*

Date: 2009-09-03 10:26 pm (UTC)Banana pancakes. I have a vegan recipe for them and I think they're much better than traditional ones.
(Now, as for how Ripp is able to master cooking them... we'll just say he's had a lot of practise at cooking Johnny's favourite breakfast food.)

Date: 2009-09-04 12:13 am (UTC)I loved this, it's such a perfect little picture of their personalities and friendships. ^_^

Date: 2009-09-04 10:07 am (UTC)Thanks. It really is more about the friendships than anything extra in this scene (though a happy breakfast for three does suggest other possible activities — I'll leave that open to interpretation). I'm such a sucker for writing scenes like this.

Date: 2009-09-05 01:47 pm (UTC)They are very yummy. Be sure to follow the advice about covering them while cooking, though, or otherwise they won't set properly.
I hope you enjoy your pancakes! ^_^

Date: 2009-09-05 01:28 am (UTC)I'll share mine with you, like Pixel said, but first I need to unpack my cookbooks (I have a ridiculous collection of them, to be honest).

Date: 2009-09-05 11:01 am (UTC)I guess this saves me the trouble of having to type it up. I should have known the internet would already have a copy of it somewhere.
It's really yummy, and true that they don't need syrup (I add maple syrup anyway, because that makes them awesome). Be sure to follow the advice about covering them. They really do need that to set properly.
Enjoy your pancakes!
