I've been playing around with recolours of my edited texture for the TSS jeans and tee mesh, and I now have a collection of them to share with you. I'll probably revisit this later to make white and some other colours, but I'm going to share what I've done so far.
My Christmas gift to you all...

- Texture edit and recolours of the mesh conversion by cloudlessnights
- Works for both youth adult and adult males
- Features a working fat morph

Colours (from left to right): black, Stella purple, brick red, periwinkle, army green, navy blue, and faded pink

Colours (from left to right): light grey, denim blue, forest green, tangerine, original khaki brown, grape purple, and pea green

Colours (from left to right): light grey (repeat), true blue, bright red, lime green, original khaki brown (repeat), bright purple, bright pink

I think my wife's self sim will get a makeover now. He's not really a jeans guy, but the shirt is so him.

Date: 2008-12-20 05:51 pm (UTC)Awesome. It would be so much better if I could get this mesh as a liberated top, to pair with any bottoms, but this is as good as it gets for now. I'm going to do some more neutral recolours later, and whatnot.
(I had to edit that... what the heck is a mesg?)

Date: 2008-12-20 05:52 pm (UTC)It was a blast to shoot these pics, even when I was struggling with moveobjects. They're just too funny.

Date: 2008-12-20 06:18 pm (UTC)You picked some very nice colours, and I like how the personality of your characters keeps shining through everywhere :) Like cheerful Beau in his pink shirts, and shy Nervous in black and grey.
As a top-only this would indeed be lovely, shirts for men are very much needed. But this'll do great for now. Thanks :D

Date: 2008-12-20 06:34 pm (UTC)Yay! Boy clothes! Scratch that... "normal" boy clothes!
What a lovely Christmas gift. Thank you very much :).
The pictures are adorable, especially the first one. It's as if they were all dancing in sync ^^ (perhaps they were). Love the random quirks here and there, like Ripp petting the kitty :P.

Date: 2008-12-20 11:05 pm (UTC)Nice shirts! I may have to get some of these, there's not enough plain clothes in the game. (Not all, though, 'cause I'm simply too lazy to scroll past that many recolours. You know what TS3 needs? Recolours of clothes working the same way recolours of objects does, so one mesh only shows up once in the main menu. That'd be the best.)

Date: 2008-12-21 04:52 am (UTC)I'd like to know if anyone else has actually gotten them to show up. That way, I'd know if it was an issue with my files, or something else. I hate the thought of having people download something that doesn't work. :( I was so excited to finally offer a download.

Date: 2008-12-21 01:58 pm (UTC)Make sure you do NOT distribute the file from My Documents \ EA Games \ The Sims 2 \ Projects \ MyProjectName - there will be a MyProjectName.package file located in your Projects folder, but this is an unfinished file. It will not work in anyone's game. Make sure you only distribute the file from SavedSims as described above.
Now I just feel stupid, because that's exactly what I did.
Anyway, I fixed it, and now the link will take you to the right files. Sorry about that!

Date: 2008-12-21 12:52 am (UTC)THANK YOU, STANGE_TOMATO. YOU ARE SO AWESOME.
(ps the preview picture reminds me of West Side Story. Strangetown is full of badasses amirite?)

Date: 2008-12-21 05:06 am (UTC)Also, I love your recolors! I love the purple on Johnny in the first one and Tank's green too. And then I love that you put Franny in purple for the other two, because it makes me think of Xel's purple Franny.
