"I'm not fucking doing that. Sorry, Zo, but I'm not into that sort of gayass shit, okay?"

"Oh, come on. It's just like making a wish, or a prayer... if you believe in that crap. Writing it down gives it more weight. Like... it has more power."

"Like the power of The Secret?"

"Yeah, just like that."

"Fuck sakes."

"Humour me, okay. Just play along. I'll throw them away after we're done. I don't usually buy into this sort of thing either, but it couldn't hurt, right?"

"No, I guess not. I'd try anything right about now."

"Good girl. Here's your sheet."

"Thanks."





Nothing for me this year, Santa. I've already got everything I need, and I can take care of myself. As long as I have Zoe, I'll be fine.

Well, you could help me out with that whole serenity, courage, and wisdom thing. Especially the wisdom. I'll be needing that. You know, to know the difference, and all that shit.

Thanks. I've missed them too. I've actually been playing them a whole lot, so I might make a little post about that. They're out of college in-game right now, and I had a lot of fun decorating their new place. I'd love to show it off.

I don't think I've showed their place yet, unless you're talking about the place at LFT... or the place in these shots? That's actually the hospital, but it's decorated up all nice for Christmas.

I edited a room in the Mercy hospital. Now that I've deleted most of the cc with that lot (especially the helicopter - I replaced it with the new AL one), it's less crashy. I'm most proud of the little half-wall by the window. Hospital rooms always seem to have those. Too bad I can't build a little heater into it.

(And yeah, they'll need more than just Santa's help, for sure, but like Zoe said, it can't hurt to ask.)

Yeah, she rocks that short and choppy Sims 2 store hair. I think it was made just for her.

I agree. Some of those animations are really well done. If you catch them in the right moment, it can be very convincing. I like the mix of natural and over the top cartoony stuff too. It's fun.

I forget where I saw it, but I was watching some little special documentary type thing on how they did the animations for this game, and (this is sort of a duh) they used real people hooked up to computers with wires stuck all over them and it transferred their movements to the computer and made an image. Lots of times they tried to make the animations goofy on purpose as befits a computer game, but sometimes I think the realism really does come through. :)

Yeah, they use motion capture, I think. That's pretty cool.

They definitely do play up the goofy flamboyant movements, even for the sensible animations, which is fun.

One of my recent bosses was really into The Secret, and gave all of her staff a copy last year, so I own it. It has some truth to it, since they've found that the whole visualization/power of prayer thing does have some tangible effect, oddly enough. The way it's presented, though, is just silly. I don't have to work, I can just sit back and write it on my "vision board." It's sympathetic magic.

I'm a pretty big fan of those two lately. They're so cute in a "you better not think we're cute" sort of way.

Yeah, they're fun. I've fallen behind, but that's to be expected. I'm going to do another couple later today, which will help me catch up.

Thanks. I really like them as a couple. They're one of the great Maxis OTPs, in my books. They have triple bolts without really having to try (and pre-FT, which is all the more impressive).

Jaxy is fun. She has some of the same qualities as Tank, in her guarded emotions, and her tendencies to violence (though Jaxy is more the type to threaten, but never actually carry it out... which is very lucky for Ripp, or he'd have been neutered long ago).

Aw, and I hadn't forgotten Jaxy was in the hospital after a suicide attempt. Poor girl... I'm glad she's getting better, inside and out. :)

Yeah, she's been there a long time, huh? *snicker* (Not really... that short was set a little into the future.)

It also wasn't supposed to be an intentional suicide attempt, though I guess it ends up being mostly the same thing when you try to drink yourself into oblivion like that. She is getting better, though, and she does have someone to help her recover and cope with her problems. (Her family has a history of dependency in that area, as you'll see.)

Me too. I'm really fangirling them lately. I play their lot so much. And yes, it's their post-college adult life, but you know what's ever crazier? JRO have graduated too! :O

(I moved placeholders in so I can still use their old apartment if I need, but still... they've moved on. Progress has been made.)

I'm really loving those dark brown eyes. I used slightly lighter ones as defaults, but I'm using the dark brown for a select few, and they look great on Jaxy. She's very Doe-eyed with them.
