Prompt: Why Frances doesn't like pirates, ninjas, and vampires
Characters: Beau Broke and Frances J. Worthington III
Wordcount: 100
Warnings: none

Beau had rambled on about the movie for what seemed like an hour. He had recapped the scenes, and even quoted the quotes.

It was just so... common. It was an amusement of the drooling, sweating, uncultured masses.

Frances was better than that.

“So, yeah… how about you? What did you think of it?”

“It was… interesting.”

Beau laughed. “You hated it, didn’t you?”

“Yes.”

“But it had pirates. Everyone loves pirates.”

Frances lifted his brows. “Well, maybe that’s the problem.”

Beau leaned back, carelessly crossing his arms. “Don’t take this the wrong way, Frances… but you’re such a snob.”

Heh, when I got to the cinema on Sundays, I often look for a film created for the "amusement of the drooling, sweating, uncultured masses." You know, full of special effects or silly pink romance. In México, we call that kind of movies "Popcorn" (Palomera) or "Sunday" (Dominguera) Movies and are perfect to relax and just have a couple hours of mindless fun.

Then again, I've never understood the big deal with vampires and pirates. The Pirates of the Caribean trilogy bored me and you don't want to hear me rant about the Twilight books. So I guess deep inside I'm a snob just like dear Frances.

I really liked the drabble. You can see more proof of how those two complement each other ^^. Even as friends I'm sure they'll learn a lot about their respective worlds.

(BTW, Did Frances and Beau went to see ARRRR!? ;) )
