To get myself into working on the next chapter, I decided to do a couple of the weekly drabbles from the list at Sim Storytellers.

Prompts: Tenderly, Condom
Characters: Ophelia Nigmos, Ripp Grunt
Word count:
100
Pic count: 2

Note: Condom follows directly after Tenderly, as I have arranged them here.

Tenderly

As they waited for the cab to arrive, he reached for her hand, and she allowed him to hold it. The oddness hadn't quite worn off yet, and her heart still leapt a little whenever he touched her like that, with obvious tenderness.

She looked over at him, and he turned his head to meet her eyes. He smiled, but neither of them said anything. Words weren’t necessary. She could see that he was happy for her, and happy to be able to stand there, holding her hand.

Ophelia smiled. After several minutes, she spoke.

"That look really suits you."

Condom

Ripp loved compliments.

Sure, most people did, but him especially. It likely stemmed from all those years where he heard Tank getting praised while he was only criticized. He loved to get attention in any form at all, but never more than when it came from Ophelia. He all but lived for her approval.

They were easing into something more than just friends, and those small things were significant. Holding her hands was thrilling enough, for now. The rest could come later.

Still, he kept a condom in his pocket, just in case. You could never be too ready, right?

It's okay... I'll just quietly kill her off-camera. *cackles and runs off*

Well, out of sight, out of mind, I guess. You do like killing those sims, don't you? :P

What can I say... it's stress relief. :P

Only in my story games though... they're all safe in my real one. Yes, even Ophelia, who has twin boys with Johnny and is living happily as queen of the Smith residence now that Jenny has passed on of old age.

I still don't like her. So she's a Grilled Cheese/Pleasure aspiration now (my two least favorite) and Johnny's happily having an intense affair with Erin Beaker. Erin's going to pop out a little green surprise any day now, and I can't wait to parade THAT in front of Ophelia. *rubs hands and cackles*

Not that she'll care... I have a no jealousy hack. :P But I can PRETEND she cares.

I should really post more about my real game... but between my story game and Castaway, I haven't played it in ages.

Maybe you'd like her better if you gave her an aspiration that you actually liked. ;) Just a thought.

I'm sort of the same way with some of the characters, but I try to give everyone a fair deal (though some, like Ajay Loner, never really get much air time because they are just so irrelevant to me). When I'm "just playing" (something I haven't done in a while), I tend to be a little crueler and more inclined to creating drama in all it's forms.

I once played Ophelia as a single mother, with Johnny's children, since in that particular game, he had a three bolt relationship with Nervous Subject's daughter, and just had Ophelia on the side. I have a bit of a thing for creating single parents in the game. It's just satisfying to me for some reason.

The most fun I ever had just playing was with Kaylynn Langerak in Pleasantview, and all of her children from Don Lothario and Daniel Pleasant. She had a live-in lover too, who also had an illegitimate child from Mortimer Goth. I miss those sims so much, but the game files corrupted and I was never able to save them.
