I just watched the Sims 3 Generations Producers Walkthrough on YouTube and I really liked what I heard there. For one, they said they really listened to what the players have been saying they want, and that they want more opportunities for storytelling in the life of their sims.

++!

It looks like a nice EP. At lot of the more recent expansions have been appealing to me more and more. If my computer could handle it, I think I'd probably pick a couple of them up. I really hope they continue in the direction they seem to be going in. Could it be a return to form for the series?

Haha. Well, I haven't actually played WA, so I shouldn't condemn it outright, but I still think it was a really bad choice for the first EP, and I'll always dislike the rpg-wannabe elements and the real place names. Minor quibbles, perhaps, but still irritating to me. It might be an EP I'll actually pass on. If I end up getting it, it would probably be for the objects and small things it adds to the game more than anything else (and I tend to be a completionist about games that way).

I have been dabbling in a little CC from the store and some conversions (mostly MtF) that I've found on MTS2. I'm actually enjoying the fact that my game currently doesn't have much cc, and I'll probably keep it that way anyway. With the recolour/pattern options and the ability to change shoes and such, there's less need for cc.

I know I'll need an upgrade to even look at EPs, which helps me to be patient and wait them out. Right now, I can run the basegame, but I have to have all the graphics set to low to get things to operate at a reasonable speed. Otherwise, it lags like crazy.
