As a knitter, I've always loved the sweater that came with an outfit in the Kitchen and Bath SP. It looks homemade, but in the best possible way. Look at that lovely row of cables down the centre! That took skill, okay? This sweater is cozy, sophisticated, and was obviously a labour of love. Wear it with pride.
When I saw that
fantasyrogue had converted the sweater into a top-only mesh, I was thrilled. Now this lovely sweater can be paired with nearly any bottom you want. It looks great with jeans of all sizes and styles, and it can be dressed up or down. So many options!

Date: 2009-02-18 01:03 am (UTC)Thanks again for the great separate mesh. I can never have too many of those (and it's taking all of my willpower not to give you a list of requests :P).

Date: 2009-02-18 01:22 am (UTC)I'm generally open to suggestions but I never make any promises :P (for some I have no idea how well they'd work until taking a look at them, and sometimes I have a short attention span and get distracted by something else :P)

Date: 2009-02-18 02:08 am (UTC)Oh, but recolours are so easy to do. It's nothing like the work you put into switching textures. I am lookinf forward to those sweater vest, though, so I hope this gives you a nudge. ;)
Sweaters are great. I love the liberated argyle K&B sweater for males too, even though it was thinned out (which is great for Frances, but not great for most other guys).

Date: 2009-02-18 01:32 am (UTC)That sweater looks so cute! And I love how there are so many "top only" versions of the Maxis outfits. I wasn't so keen of the pants included with the sweater, but now that I can pair them with any bottom I want, I'll use it a lot more often.
And the pictures are cute to boot :). It's as if Phi had knitted the sweaters herself (probably getting some practice for the baby? :P)

Date: 2009-02-18 03:59 am (UTC)I love having separates. It's the sort of thing that only works well once you have lots of options, though, so it's getting better all the time.
Awww, that's a cute thought. I can see her knitting little baby blankets and things. I still wish sims could knit. I have that extracted knitting clutter, but they can't really use it.

& gods - that hair must have been made with Phi in mind specifically. it suits her so well.

Date: 2009-02-18 04:02 am (UTC)Yeah, they're sort of like little wordless stories, aren't they? It's fun to do.
I think so too. It's such perfect hair for Phi. I'll never change it again, now that Josh has fixed the blond mesh for me.

Date: 2009-02-19 10:54 am (UTC)The knitting clutter is from Garden of Shadows. There a download from Azaya, called Crocheting's Easier - extracted knitting, and anothe from Pooklet, called My Best Friend's Hot: More knitting clutter than you will ever need. There are also some knitting books included in that one, but they are decidedly non-Simlish, so I don't use them.
I think the knitting is extracted from Mrs. Crumplebottom. Azaya's download has her original colours.
