I was messing around in Photoshop (working on a couple of recolours of various separates that I like) and I decided to make myself a new default icon. It's simple, but it says so much. I was really trying to make another one with Ripp flipping you the bird, and I found a useable pose from the hula dance, but the finger looks weird and too big. I'll probably pick away at it again later and see if I can do anything with it. I think it would be really funny.

While I was playing around with those Ripp hula dance screencaps, I decided to make a new banner too. It's also very simple, with just the title (it's nice to have that there again), and Ripp showing it off. I like the purple better than the colours I had there before, because purple is just pretty like that.

Fresh new things for a fresh new year!

Yes, yes... those are all excellent possibilities. I also like the flippant "Go woohoo yourself."

Well, in many ways the story does focus on Ripp. If any one character was to be singled out as central to the story, it's Ripp. Most all of the different characters find a common connection through Ripp, more or less (to varying degrees of separation), and he was the first and is the most significant link between the Smith and Grunt families (though Buck followed shortly after). That's the heart of the story: the interaction between the Grunts and the Smiths/Curiouses.

I just like the simplicity of it. And I may as well wear my favouritism on my sleeve, right? ;)

I like how active that pose is. It's amazing what you can find if you dig through all the animations. I'm always finding something new.
