No update tonight...

I thought I'd let you know, just in case you decided to check. Things just haven't been working according to my schedule. Now I feel like I'm getting sick again on top of everything else. I've been nearly falling asleep all evening, so I think I'm going to call it an early night. I still hope to get the next chapter finished before the end of the weekend.

For those who haven't seen them yet (and anyone who wants a laugh in general), here are a couple of pics of the new kisses from when I was goofing around with them on the trio's lot.





These took place during my experimentation with the new animation box. It was before I did anything about jealousy, as you can see...






This is "kiss - dance", which is a lot like the smooch during the slow dance. They also do "dance - classic" now. It's cool because they always do a twirl in it, which was pretty rare before, but it's almost exactly the same as the slow dance.

Looks like Johnny's ready to smack someone.






That someone seems to like it. *snicker* I guess any attention is good attention.

Next is the pure silliness of "kiss - suck face". It's pretty funny and awkward, and a bit over the top, so I'm going to let the actors take care of this one...

Umm... oops. Wouldn't take much, would it? I guess "no instant loves" doesn't really work when you have such a high relationship. Not that it matters... this was just for a laugh, so of course I didn't save it.

It's a funny animation. I need to think of an actual use for it. I'm sure I can think of an appropriate place for an awkward first kiss.

I know. That part cracked me up too, when I first saw it. It's funny anyway, but it just seems funnier when Ripp does it.

I like the suck face. I'd never turn down a new social, but this one has fairly limited applications. I would have preferred something else, like a really hot kiss where one sim holds the other's face in their hands, or runs their fingers through the other's hair.

I'm still disappointed that sims aren't able to lie on the couch with their head in the other sim's lap too.

If I was given the opportunity to sit in on a brainstorming session for additions to this game, I'd never shut up. :P And it's mostly just social interactions I'd like to add. The head in lap thing would be so nice. They could even watch TV at the same time, and it could increase the social gains above just sitting there. I love that they added the "cuddle under the stars" thing, but this is so similar and I want it too! We need MOAR socials where sims touch each other.

I could so see him lying with his head on her lap (and yeah, I think It'd probably be Ripp's head on her lap and not the other way around most of the time). I remeber. It was clever, the way you did it, but that animation that you're talking about would be ridiculously cute.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing, with Ripp's head being in her lap, and Phi would play with his hair. It would just be too cute.

Yeah, it would be like he's her pet. :) I can see him scooching his way in there and asking her play with his hair too. Getting to lie around and be touched at the same time is a combination of two of Ripp's favourite things. He'd be blissed out.

Now I'm on a mission to create that somehow with the animation boxes. I wonder if I could get it to work.

It's pretty funny, but it has limited use for a story. They included a couple of interesting socials this time, so I'm very happy overall.

There are a couple of other cool ones that I'd like to show, but I'm thinking of doing that in a drabble instead of just random silliness like this.

I need to play more with this EP. I hadn't realized there was a new "Suck Face" kiss now! I'd already seen the "Dance- Classic" (which is adorable) but not the other ones.

Isn't it goofy? It really looks like it's intended for some silly improv kissing scene between two guys to me. Like something from Who's Line is it Anyway...

Oh, haha! Double oops. You caught me. It was part of my attempt to recreate the drawing that squirrel_tamer did, and I wanted to see if they would cuddle in bed (they didn't - due to the way the sexuality works in the game). But sometimes I just mess around with them every way I possibly can anyway for a laugh. I do that with a lot of the characters, but I rarely post those things, lest people get any ideas. ;) I've hooked Tank and Frances up about a billion times.

There was actually a shot of Ophelia catching them in bed together too, but she was swooning while the cheating thing appeared. I LOLed. I should try to find it.

I'm resisting until we get the new computer (which seems to take a while, they're probably waiting for some parts they didn't have in stock), so we can install everything fresh and I can go all OCD on the Downloads folder. I also don't know how we're gonna add Belladonna Cove to the MegaHood yet, it seems like the current QA version of SimPE messes up apartment families when you try to merge it as a Downtown/Shopping District. :( I hope they fix that...

It's not that two guys won't cuddle, but because of their experience with women, the game deems that Ripp and Johnny couldn't possibly be bisexual. For that, they'd need equal experience with males and female. The window to allow attraction to both is quite narrow.

It's too bad that Belladonna cove will be left out of your Megahood, but it would take you years to cycle through all of those houses! You have such a huge linup as it is.

Oh, I see. So they have to be attracted to/have bolts with the person next to them to cuddle them. It is hard to have a bisexual sim, I've done it a few times, but keeping them that way means they pretty much have to woohoo someone of each sex every day. :p

Haha, you're right, of course, we really shouldn't be adding any more stuff to that 'hood... but... I know it's gonna bother us if we can't. I wonder how long we can keep up with this, sometimes. I'm really bad at getting those 'must start over with clean new neighbourhood because I have all these ideas and have OCD!' urges. My husband has to talk me out of that about once a week. :p

Yeah, I showed the entire animation, nearly frame by frame. That last part really makes them seem like they were surprised it happened, which is why I used Johnny and Ripp for it.
