*dies with laughter*

They're just HEADS!

(I forgot to redownload the work uniform, so I got these floating heads. :P)

Phi: Ripp is HOT!

Ripp: No, Bella is HOT!

Ripp: Sooooooo HAWT!

The feeling is mutual.

(Johnny was hot for her too. :P My sims are so randy.)

Bella: Oh, some floating heads... that's completely normal. I live in Strangetown now.

Ripp: The flowers, let me sell you them.

Ripp: YOU TOO, CHESTER!

Chester: Okay!

Random townie: Is that guy buying stuff from a head? Too weird for me...

Bonus oddity:

What the hell happened to Mr. Doe's face? Is that even a makeup that comes with the game? He was never wearing makeup...

He's still pregnant too.

Pregnant... "for the last time?"

*snicker*

Oh, I love this game.

Ripp: *insert lewd head and/or face comment here*

HeadRipp is just a head.

On another note, I'm setting Thursday as my personal deadline to post chapter 27, part 1 (of 2). You can expect it somewhere between 5:00 pm and 11:59 pm, Newfoundland Standard Time (look it up - it's 1/2 hour ahead of the Atlantic time zone, which means I'm just that much ahead of the rest of North America).

Yeah, he was wearing contacts, so that's why he became a mime.

Did you get any pics? That sounds funny.

No, no pics. It was just a test drive. If it does it again (when I got to put the whole works in) I'll grab a few.

Were you getting distortion? Some people post legacies with pics that are sort of squeezed together like that, or stretched out.

My SO hates that so much - when people have a wide screen TV and stretch the image to fit the whole thing when it's not in a wide screen format (I can hear him mocking them now... "I PAID for this screen, so I'll be damned if I'm not going to use it ALL" *snicker*). Most people don't even seem to be able to see that there's anything wrong with the image, but it's very annoying to the visually sensitive like us.

No, no distortion. My sims were missing parts of their bodies (like random hunks) and/or their extremities were doing wonky stuff (like they were nailed down somewhere else in the room and stretching all over). The neighborhood screen was goofy, too, with a few houses having missing walls and weird multi color squares on the terrain.

I did notice that the game didn't fill the screen (like it does on my home monitor) even after we fiddled with the settings. But all the weirdness had disappeared (and everything looked great, not distorted or wrong) so that's something I could live with.

*snicker* I hate pan and scan in movies. HATE IT!

Wow. That's really weird. Sounds like a problem with the graphics card to me. Maybe the drivers are not updated.

Really? Heheh. It can be pretty awful, I agree (like when it's way too obvious that you're supposed to notice something), but I like it if it's done right. I'm more into scan than pan - like still shots instead of something that roams around the room.

It could be a driver issue, too, but once we changed the screen size, there were no more issues anywhere. It's been a LONG time since I installed from the base game, so maybe that's normal (having to figure out what's the best screen size for your machine).

I had a driver issue before and it never caused problems like that. It gave me shredded screen shots.

I'm not overly concerned. If it IS a driver issue, that's an easy fix. I know it's going to be a spot of work getting the new machine all set up and happy. Once it's fully built, that is.

Yeah, the driver issue is an easy fix, if that's the problem. I wouldn't worry about that.

I did have to adjust the resolution and image quality when I reinstalled, but I wasn't getting anything crazy like that.

Bah... nevermind. I was thinking of some other comment about frmaing, and I completely missed what you meant by pan and scan. I'm not really familiar with the term, so I thought you were talkig about panning the camera around the room in a scene, and not the process for making a widescreen into fullscreen.

THAT I completely agree with. I do not appreciate when a program has "been formatted to fit my screen."

I thought you might be thinking of something else. The "fitting your screen" pan and scan is what I hate.

The worst is when they show Ghostbusters (best movie EVER) on tv. It's pan and scan. First time I saw it like that I almost wept.
