So I finally have a stretch of uninterrupted time to work on the story this evening, but the scenes I need to shoot are just too involved. I don't feel like doing it. I need to create sets and get the right clothing, etc., and it's just feeling like too much hassle. My brain feels like mush; I can't even figure out how to get the bunkbeds out of the Grand Trianon Collection (I could have sworn there used to be metal ones there, but I can't find them). This is a bad sign. Maybe I should work on some of the scenes that are more immediate. Where's my focus? It's gone. Brain = mush.

I wanted to use Gunmod's Radience Light System for one of the scenes, but I have to confess that the instructions for installing it just confused me and I think I'm chickening out. What if I can't take it back out? I guess I'll have to just leave the beautiful and dramatic sim photography to the people that are actually good at it and settle for being competent but unremarkable.

Verdict for today: massive fail all around. I might as well get out a raft and float down the street to pass the time instead (yeah, it's raining like crazy here). Whhheeeeee!

I'm almost ready to try it. Hell, I could probably SWIM down the road at this point. I hope we don't get any flooding.

The light mod is scaring me because it involves multiple folders, unlike the camera mod, which was just one. That's so many more opportunities to break something.

I'm going to wait and come back to that scene when I can handle it, I think. For now, maybe I'll shoot a high society dinner party at Malcolm Landgraab's place. That sounds like something I could actually do right now.

That sounds like so much fun... I wish it was raining that much here. Sadly, its not. Just a little. Probably not even enough for them to cancel my soccer practice, though I wish they would, now its just the disgusting after-rain type humid. But for now, I will just draw, and perhaps it will rain enough I can go swimming :P

Multiple folders? That would drive me insane. I'd be sure I was going to break something. I'm pretty good at breaking things.

Good luck! My game never wants to load Malcolm Landgraab's place. Crashed seven times before I could give the guy a makeover and quickly get off the lot. And then I realized I didn't even get a picture of him with his makeover! Back onto the lot, waited a LOOOOONG time because of supreme lag (that only his lot seems to have), got a couple pictures, and done. Finally.

It's nice to hear all that rain falling. I love the sound. Maybe I'll just curl up with a good book instead. Or finally read some sim stories that I've been neglecting.

Malcolm does have a very large lot with a lot going on. I'd say the multiple businesses are a factor there too.

A book sounds good. I have a large pile of books I just got, which I'll need to sit down and read sometime soon. Sim stories are good sometimes too. Which reminds me, I probably missed a bunch while I was on vacation.

Ah, I'd forgotten about the businesses. Maybe thats it then! That, or Malcolm Langraab the pixelated begin really, really hates me.

I have a bunch of new cookbooks I need to read. That sounds funny, I'm sure, but I love reading cookbooks, especially while I'm eating. I'd like to try something new, so I'll take note of what looks (or sounds) good.

Yeah, he probably just hates you. :P He looks like the type, with those evil eyebrows.

I can only look at cookbooks when I'm eating, or else I become hungry. Whatever makes you happy, I guess! I like reading cheesy teenage romance stories, or grown-up books about the wonders of evolution, or stories about WWII.... I should shut up and stop boring you now XD

I think... I think, if he did hate me, its because of the makeover I kept trying to give him.

That's exactly why I read them while eating by myself - reading about food and eating it at the same time is double the pleasure. (I'm a pleasure sim, if you haven't guessed. :P)

I like to say I'm a Knowledge/Grilled Cheese sim, but all my wants revolve around money, so maybe I'm really a Fortune sim...

Yeah, I'm just a cheese sim. Any type of cheese will do. Yum.

I find that hard to believe. Even moldy cheese? Easy Cheese? Cheese from romance novels? Gack. Romance novel cheese is the worst!

Okay, I might not want to know, but what's Easy Cheese?

And moldy cheese is awesome, as long as it's blue cheese. :D

But yeah, I draw the line at romance novel cheese. Maybe.

Easy Cheese is... disgusting. Its cheese in a bottle, like whipped cream. I'm not even sure if its real cheese.

A little bit of romance novel cheese is okay... But not TOO much. Sometimes its funny. Sometimes its horrible. But when it comes from real people, its very nasty, I believe.

Ugh. Cheese should never come from a bottle.

I also agree that real people should never sound like a romance novel. :P But sadly, sometimes they do.

Agreed.

Its very sad indeed. My friend just broke up with a guy who was always sending cutesy little cheese riddled text messages to her. They broke up and she asked 'Do you think he got it all from a book?' and I thought to myself (it was a rhetorical question, she never wants answers. She just wants people to listen so she can talk.) 'I HOPE he got it all from a book. If he thinks like that usually, well, there must be something wrong.'

Most people do. If you listen and ask people questions about themselves, you'll have a lot of friends, it seems. :P

I'm a good listener! Or, maybe its just that I'm a good talker. With her at least, I'm a good listener because I keep my mouth shut. She's the sort of person who will criticize everything I say. 'I'm getting my hair cut' will most likely be responded with 'But your hair is already so freaking short already!'.
