This is mostly for [personal profile] madame_ugly, who demanded a closeup of Jaxy's calendar (boy, are you ever demanding *snicker*).

Those short shorts are pretty hot. I like that the chick seems to be tinkering with that that old piece of junk (or at least pretending to), instead of just posing on the hood of a car.

Jaxy is autonomously viewing the calendar in this shot, which she does frequently. Each time, she claps her hands in approval. I find it so weird when sims do things like that to stay in character.

The calendar is part of the Days of the Week - Calendar Pack by Fantasyrogue on MTS2. Other themes include cute toddlers, sim pets, cars, and nature. The text is in simlish too, which is a bonus. My only complaint is that the colours are a little bright. The white of this calendar is nearly blinding, and it sticks out from its surroundings a little.

I also mentioned making a Gunnar icon. I took a photo to showcase his handsome profile. What do you think?

Nice. He really does have NO CHIN.

I should feel bad for picking on poor Gunnar, but I don't, really.

Gunnar did move out, because he graduated, making him the first LFT student to move out of that campus where time stands still, or close to it. I know you want to know what you transitioned into, so here it is...

*cue laugher*

Oh, Kitchen and Bath, how you have enriched my game.

He's the one who is painting all the Grilled Cheese paintings, by the way. I gave him that as a secondary aspiration, in an attempt to make him more appealing to play, and the paintings were a novelty, so it sort of worked.

I was hoping to post part 3 tonight, but I'm not quite happy with all of the pics, and I'm dead tired. I'll catch up on my comments and post the final section of chapter 24 tomorrow evening.

I wonder what Gunnar's kids would look like? *hints at genetic experiment*

Oh, the sims EA makes themselves......wouldn't you love to be in the room when it happens? :P

Yeah, Gunnar has to be bred, really. Then I want his children to breed with Malcolm Landgraab's children.

Well, EA has made some nice sims too, and even some of the other extreme ones are very appealing. I applaud their commitment to taking a lack of chin to its extreme expression. It's gutsy.

It took me three generations to breed out Gunnar's looks.

It's not like I ever intended for him to have children or anything but ACR had other thoughts and tossed his live in girlfriend a Risky. I will say that he was a closet family sim, he rolled up every teach toddler want there is for Bea then rolled them again for his grandsons when they came along.

That doesn't surprise me. A chin that weak would have to be dominant, by sim logic (where the oddest genetics survive).

I think those romance sims are often family sims in disguise, or at least, they care enough about all those illegitimate children that have around town. I've had Don Lothario randomly drop in on his lovers to visit the kids. It was so odd.

Aw, that's just darn cute!

I've heard other things like that about Don. If I ever do go play Pleasantview, he's right there at the top of my list of sims to play!

Yeah, it does makes him strangely more appealing. It's a nice robe. Now I'm thinking I'll keep that outfit and have him sitting around his loft in Sim City, smoking a pipe, while his maid fetches him some delicious grilled cheese sandwiches.

Yeah, those are some nice calendars.

I've been enjoying Bon Voyage. I just recently downloaded a mod that unlocks the sauna towels for use outside the sauna. Now I have robes AND towels. Yes, MOAR near nudity. I like it.

I love BV and its towels!! I usually put CAS into debug mode when I'm in it and get the towels that-a-way. :P

Can't wait to read the next part of the story! But I know real life does take a toll sometimes, lol! Fear not, we'll all be here to read it whenever it comes!

((hugs))

I keep forgetting about that debug mode. It would only be useful when you're creating a sim in CAS, though, so I would only be able to take advantage of it when I introduced a new character, so it's not good if I want to put a towel on someone for just one scene.

Well, it's not nearly as bad as the gap between part one and two. It wasn't so much life taking a toll, as total creative block. I think a lot of it was the point-of-no-return that I'm finding myself in. Since I have been wavering back and forth between so many different outcomes, it's a little intimidating to make a more definite call on it. There were some "should I or shouldn't I?" moments that I had to get through, but in the end, I decided that I "should" in all cases where I was doubtful. Why not? The worst I can do is mess up my sim story. *snicker* Why worry?

From: [identity profile] cindyanne1.livejournal.com
You can get debug clothes on an established character, but it's a bit of a pain. You'd have to create a CAS sim and drop him in with the family, and then move him out again. All of his clothes stay in the family's "dresser" even after he moves. But yeah, it's a bit of a pain. Downloads are good!

I don't think you could ever mess up your story!! It'll be great no matter how you tell it!

Do you play with another campus more often, or just not play uni at all? I've played with Sim State a little too. I put Dirk and Lilith through college.

No, the trio will never graduate. *snicker* Or maybe it just feels that way at the pace the story moves. They're actually in their final year right now in the story, so expect it to happen before too long. I'm still debating if I should do the play, or just drop that plot thread and pretend it happened "off screen".

I play only with SSU, but I removed all of the character files when I started my legacy and allowed the game to generate new ones, so I'm pretty much in the dark about all three of the Main Universities. :)

Whatever you choose to do, I'm sure it will be awesome. (Though the play would be really cool.)

I love the autonimous painting gazing, too. When Kitty visited Loki (many moons ago) she trooped through the house autonimously admiring his work. She's just such a nice sim.

*snort* When you get up on Gunnar like that, he truly is HIDEOUS. I like the way you're thinking, too. A Gunnar/Malcolm/Frances mashup would be great (and/or a splash of Nervous). You know. . .I have Gunnar/Frances/Nervous already cloned. And I do so love breeding experiments. . .

His transition pic isn't so bad. Being back away from him really helps! From a distance, he looks downright NORMAL.

OOOH, Gunnar alien spawn. . .yeah, I need to do a genetic experiment now.

That's really cool that Kitty went to look at his work, and it really does suit her character. When the trio had supper at Stella and Jayne's place, Ophelia autonomously viewed the painting of Stella and Ripp, and then made that expression that's just sort of "Meh." It was funny. I managed to make it work as if she was asking about it.

Gunnar is much better from a distance. You had a couple of close ups in your last Peculiar update that sent shivers down my spine. *snort* I liked his transition too. It was fun.

I fully support a Gunnar breeding challenge. Frances is a good choice too. And Nervous. Just breeding all of these extreme features together would be great. It's meant to be an uglacy. It could be sort of like the Broke legacy, where simgaroop uses Maxis sims in her legacy, except just focusing on crazy genetics (I'd never have it in me to make some coherent story about that. *snicker*)

Do it! Just... do... it. I want to see some pics.

It doesn't have to be a full on legacy. It could just be an experiment. Put them on a lot and then just crap out kids that you quick age up.

I'd be down for a fast thing like that. I have a few other things to finish first, though (like adding the colorful companion animals to my "share a sim" post--sidebar: packaging those damn pets was a royal pain in the buttocks). I'm hoping to install FT on Monday. I'm so nervous.

Oh man, I knew that he had no chin, but I never realized it was THAT bad! That is just plain awesome.

Hahaha, you made him Grilled cheese! That's great. As much as I like my Frances having grilled as his secondary aspiration, it gets really annoying with the constant wants to have it and the annoying memories he gets. Did you see him run up to get food when somebody else makes grilled cheese yet? That's just too funny. I love the robe on him, you should keep it! :P

You should really breed Gunnar with the future child of Malcom Landgraab and Frances' sister (Charlotte? I'm always confusing the names) just for fun. I bet it would give you some hilariously ugly results.

Yeah, they really took the no-chin look and made it into a work of art there. I think that Gunnar might be able to pull off decent daughters if he had them, since a lack of chin is not so bad on a female. You get the same issue in reverse if some of the more chin-y guys have daughters. They can look pretty masculine.

I have never seen then run for the grilled cheese! :D I have to go try that now. I always made Gunnar serve it, since he always had that want. After he moved out, he left a lifetime supply of grilled cheese leftovers (doesn't sound appealing, does it?).

Yeah, I might have to try to plan a little arranged marriage there, or at least the breeding.

Date: 2008-05-22 09:39 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] xel-squirgle-ox.livejournal.com
Yes, exactly! Don't look at Gunnar's chinlessness as ugly, look at it as a WORK OF ART! :P

Frances does it all the time because Guy is a family sim and is always serving food. And sometimes it's grilled cheese just because he loves to please his husband (and wants to stuff him up so he could be fat forever! *snicker*) I will never let him down for that. HE was the one who made him fat.

You could make it like Gunnar got extremely rich of of... Something. (Lol, how would a guy like him get rich, by being a whore?) And then as an old man he could be in an arranged marriage to the Landgraab spawn or something. And they could be so persistent about it because they want his chinless genes in their family even though he's a romance sim and he would hate it!
