Date: 2012-10-31 06:52 pm (UTC)I'm sure there are pretty decent options here in town, but I don't think I'd go as far as extensive, since it's a pretty small town. I guess I could probably dig up just about anything online, though.

Date: 2012-11-01 01:38 pm (UTC)I'm not really one for scary movies and such either. For example, I regret ever looking up the Slender Man (please do yourself a favour and DON'T EVER DO IT)and watching some of the videos. I continue to think about it and freak myself out in the middle of the night when I'm up with the baby and walking by a window. I think I've always been a little scared of the dark, but I grew up in a place where there is much more wilderness than anything else and people (with good reason) really do believe in ghosts and fairies, etc.
Haha! We did call him a little pumpkin for a while, because my pregnancy was announced at my family's pumpkin growing contest party the previous year. :) He's doing great. We took him out to a couple of houses last night (just people we knew) and he wore a little pumpkin costume. Too cute.

Date: 2012-11-04 06:28 pm (UTC)Yeah, it's actually an online thing, and sort of like the Blair Witch Project, documenting it as if it was real. Just... don't. It scared the crap out of me forever.
We were fine here. Sandy bypassed the maritime provinces completely and just hit Ontario and parts of Quebec. We had a really nice, sunny day, in fact. Thanks for asking. :)

Date: 2012-10-31 07:02 pm (UTC)We might take the little guy out to a couple of friend's houses, but otherwise it will be low key for us.
Enjoy your scary movie! :)

Date: 2012-11-01 04:44 pm (UTC)Little Tomato was adorable in his outfit. :D
We ended up watching The Eye, which was pretty good. A little bit confusing at times, but I put that mostly down to cultural nuances. Had some creepy moments but in the end I think it was more sad/interesting than scary, but I'm kind of immune to most horror films because I've been fascinated with them from a very young age. :P

Date: 2012-11-04 06:35 pm (UTC)Thank you. It was a little too big, but I think that just added to the cute. He'll probably be able to wear it again next year for our pumpkin party.
I don't watch a lot of horror films, because I tend to get really creeped out by them. I'm such a weenie like that. I have some friends who are really into them like you and they're equally immune. I used to get dragged to see movies like that in theatres with them and I'm probably still freaked out by some of those scenes to this day. XD

Date: 2012-11-06 03:52 pm (UTC)Now I'm curious about which films you got traumatized by. :D I'm very picky about horror films, really. I'm not a fan of the gore/monster/chainsaw/zombie stuff, that's more gross and dumb than actually creepy. I like films like The Ring and The Shining, and more subtle things, where the scare comes more from the atmosphere, the unknown, the anticipation that something is going to happen... Traditional ghost stories, really. The less CG and impressive special effects the better. :P
