The Sims 3 Goth Family

I played Sims 3 again for a while today, continuing my sort-of legacy with the Goth family. Bella married Mortimer and I was hoping to create alternate versions of Cassandra and Alexander, but then couldn't seem to get the firstborn to be a girl. *shrugs* So I went with it. I'm quite liking the resulting boys, Cass (left) and Alex (right). They're both quite handsome (to my eye, at least), but in different ways.
Cass is more like Bella, with a softer romantic side. He inherited his grandmother's purple hair. :P He had a bit of a heartbreaking romance with Lisette Bunch (born in-game, I think, and not overly attractive), who rejected him for his first kiss because she was also dating some other teen. She later breaks up with that guy and makes out with Cass on the beach, but he's not so sure now... he might move on. Cass is good, nurturing, and a bit of a perfectionist, so he wants to be a surgeon one day. Like his younger brother, he's a genius. Would you expect any less from a Goth?Alex is moodier and a bit odd, like Mortimer. He likes making potions in the attic. He's also excitable and easily impressed, and a bit of a wild card at this point. He gets himself into trouble like a rebellious teen, but is also a bit of a nerdy shut-in. I'm not sure where he's headed. He has a great relationship with his mother, but a terrible one with his father. I think they might be too much alike.
I'm thinking of packaging one of these guys up and moving them to one of the other hoods to continue the family line, but which one? Maybe I'll take both, see what they do, and then decide? Any thoughts? And which hood? I'm thinking of maybe getting another expansion pack or downloading a new hood. I need a new environment to play with and I'd love to mix these guys up with some other premades. Which hoods are your favourites? Where do you think Cass and/or Alex would fit in?

It's always nice to see you around!

It's good to see you around again, too. :) How are things with you these days?

Good, good! Senior year, man. School is kicking my ass. I'm sending you a pm!

Date: 2012-10-14 08:33 pm (UTC)I only have the basegame for S3, but I've really enjoyed the Store worlds. Lucky Palms is probably my favorite. I know my next EP (besides Seasons) will probably be Late Night, because I absolutely adore urban settings and would love to play Bridgeport. Ambition's world, Twinbrook, looks really nice, too.
Personally, I would move Cass to Bridgeport and Alex to Lucky Palms.

Date: 2012-10-14 08:49 pm (UTC)Yeah, I'm leaning heavily towards Late Night, because Bridgeport seems cool and I can fall back on favourite gameplay patterns, like starting sim bands and opening art galleries. And Twinbrook does seem to have an interesting bayou sort of feel to it. it's a very foreign sort of landscape for me, but one I've always wanted to visit in real life. I could see me eventually picking up a number of these EPs.
I haven't looked into it at all, but Lucky Palms sounds like it has a resort vibe or maybe a casino town. I'll check it out. Thanks for the input! :)

Date: 2012-10-15 06:20 pm (UTC)This was my first time playing with a premade family in Sims 3. I followed my usual pattern of starting with my simself, then creating some original sims (or Sims 2 recreations, in this case), before moving on to premades. Well, that was my pattern from playing Sims 2, anyway. In Sims 1, never progressed to playing the premades at all, which seems odd to me now.
The Goths are fun to play with. You should definitely give their lot a try.
