Short Story in Progress

I got inspired this evening and wrote out a short story idea I've been mulling over for some time now. It's a stand-alone story about a premade that I haven't written about before, but it takes place in the same story universe as Strangetown, here we come. Now I'm trying to decide which direction I want to go in for the images. I might try something I haven't done before. Sort of abstract, perhaps? I think it'd suit the piece of writing, which is quite simple.
The sim in question doesn't come with a family, so I spent some time creating one for them. I don't know if I'm completely satisfied with them yet, but here's what I have so far:

Date: 2011-07-19 10:16 am (UTC)I'm a little surprised by Jimmy. I don't think I've seen anyone use him in a story at all, and he has that oh so interesting name (which was the jumping off point for me). But truth be told, he didn't jump out at me until I saw
Poor Ajay. He's one sim I could never force myself to really care about. I play him, but I'm always left feeling so, "Ajay... Meh." No amount of curly hair and glasses and facial hair can change his mushy little face for me. :P

Date: 2011-07-19 12:49 pm (UTC)Ajay is one of my favorite sims, precisely because he's a blank slate. He has no backstory and no family ties, yet as a Strangetown resident shows up frequently in stories; it's really interesting to see what other people do with him - no two Ajays are the same!

I just have an issue with his face. It's shallow of me, but at least I can be honest about it, right? :P

Heh, that might explain our different attutides towards him. I think he's cute! :p

It's the Face One baby face thing, for me. I'm not a big fan of it on male sims, and Ajay seems to be based off that template (with even chubbier cheeks, I think). I have the same issue with the Davis twins and the O'Mackey brothers, the Hot Blond Downtownie... the list goes one. The only one that I feel can carry it off is Castor Nova. I don't mind it on him.
