Story Talk
Feb. 17th, 2010 06:10 pmBeen thinking about moving forward with Strangetown, here we come, and I think it might be in my best interest to skip what I've been referring to (at least in my own mind) as "the Veronaville chapter." It's sort of an aside, but one I was personally interested in taking at the time. Now, I'm not so sure. Skipping it would still leave an opening to do it later (even if in a sort of goofy "So what exactly did you do in Veronaville, Vidcund?" *cue flashback* sort of lead-in — but hey, nobody ever said this wouldn't be ham-fisted). Or, if I'm not feeling it, I can just refer to the essentials and let the rest drop (though I'll probably get around to it after I get my groove back, methinks).
I just think a trip to the Smith household might be the right thing to do right now. I think I could get my head back into that story again, and the dynamics of that family. Might just drop by there later and take some pics, then work on the text, the way I used to, at least for the bits I haven't already worked out.
Or I might just spend the night watching more Lost instead. The SO and I finally obtained the first season (from the LIBRARY! Boooyeah!), and we're having fun with it. Oh, and please don't spoil, okay? I want to continue my streak of managing to remain unspoiled about things far longer than I should. I watched The Sixth Sense for the first time almost five years after it was released and I was still surprised by the twist ending! I'm not sure how I managed that one, to be honest, but that's one of the benefits of living in a cave, perhaps? :P
