Little Giekes

I was going to post this image and play a "guess the parents" game with you, but then I couldn't resist the title. These are Tara and Chester's children in the Uberhood. From left to right, they're Ginny, Riel (same name as Chester's previous alien child, but this time it's a girl), and Gabby (Ginny's twin). They're all the same age, so it's like they're triplets.

Ginny seems to resemble Tara the most, possibly with Chester's eyebrows and mouth, while Gabby is a little more homely looking, with Chester's eyes. I'm not sure which nose they have, but we'll see. I'm not all that familiar with the way Chester's genetics look on toddlers (as I haven't bred him much). Riel seems to look a lot like her PT (No. 14, which is the redhead in fwiffo's set—same PT as Helena Summerdream).

Cute little Giekes, aren't they? ^_^

I've also decided to change Tara's name to Kat-Gieke after the marriage (using SimPE), which seems so very fitting. Chester will stay just Gieke (that convention sort of annoys me, but I figure some sims would use it), but I'm not sure about the kids yet. Maybe Kat-Gieke, maybe just Gieke. Any thoughts?






From left: Gabby, Riel, and Ginny (opposite order from picture above). Riel seems all PT No. 14, but with Chester's eyebrows (and maybe his lips? I'm not completely sure...). My predictions for Gabby and Ginny seem to be correct, and they both have Chester's prominent nose and Tara's full lips.

They're adorable! ^^ I've had some very interesting kids from Chester before, both aliens and not. I also got some very fun kids from Leod McGreggor and Tara, here. Fiona looks quite a lot like your Ginny, but there's definitely some Chester in Ginny too.

Kat-Gieke is awesome. :D I like the idea of the kids being Kat-Giekes too, but... Little Giekes is very appealing as well.

By the way, what eye defaults are you using? I know I used to know, but I've forgotten, and they look so great... (those are ale's skins, right?)

I just updated the post with an aged-up version, in case you missed it (and I think you did, just slightly).

I'm going to go and take a look at your Fiona and see what I think.

The eye defaults are my own blend of some of Phobia's eyes on the Maxis sclera (made my smjoshsims). I posted about them here, but I haven't actually gotten around to sharing them.

I did miss the aged-up versions. Ginny looks a lot like Tara. And Gabby turned out really good! Chester's eyebrows are cool.

The huge eyes are always just a tiny bit disturbing to me when they're not the alien black. Haha. In a good way, though.

I knew that. I thought they were by josh, but that didn't seem quite right somehow.

You totally should share them. :) I like the light blue, my problem with the sets based around Phobia's eyes is that all the light blues have either too much green or too much brown in them.

He's fun to play and style. I revel in giving him the geekiest hair and clothing imagineable. This time around he's rocking a hoodie with a little white turtleneck under it and baggy sweatpants. XD When he's not wearing his gamer gear, that is! Chester was made for that career.

Ohhh, adorable kids! Chess got some potential in his genes and it's always fun to see hown his kids come out.

Chester has some of the more unique facial features in the game, for sure, and they actually translate pretty well onto the female version (which surprised me, really, because I was expecting them to be a lot harsher). I think Tara's a good partner for him in that her altered Face 2 tones down his extremes, rather than clashing with them.

I LOVE Chester Gieke! I did a legacy with him once. Made it to Gen 5 before my computer was struck by lightning. *sobs*

He and Tara have some gorgeous daughters!

Chester's a fun sim, for sure. How long did his features last in your legacy? I'll bet the nose and eyebrows stuck around for quite a few generations.

Tara was dating Cyd in my last game (I think it works well, like in that movie, The Truth About Cats and Dogs), but I think I like her with Chester better, for the more diverse facial features and the excess of red hair. And personality-wise, they're both pretty "gieke"y, so it works.

I think my Cyd is going to end up with Bianca Monty this time. I'm not 100% sure yet, but they're a good match, and they both already have children (Cyd via abduction and Bianca via a sperm donation from Oberon Summerdream).

The red hair bred out rather quickly, but his rather high, well-defined cheek bones stuck around for a while.

I really miss that legacy. They had such bad luck. Every other day, someone would get a bad chance card and they'd lose all their money! Gen 4 was so poor it wasn't funny!

One of Chester's daughters married Malcolm Landgraab IV and their son had those hideous eyebrows.

I thought you were talking about Tara DeBateau for a second, and now I'm kind of interested in that pairing. They aren't quite as suited for each other, but they sure would make interesting kids.

Hmmm. That would be interesting. They also have the red hair going for them and Tara DeBateau has the sort of Face 1 thing going on, so it'd balance Chester's features the way Tara Kat's Face 2 does. I'd be interested in seeing how that turns out if you try it!

I have different plans for both Tara and Chester, but now I'm questioning said plans :P Getting them together makes a lot of sense, and their children are just sooo adorable!! <3

Kat-Giekelings! They really got an adorably good blend of their parents' features (Riel included -- that pollination tech set makes great kids).

My game's Chester is with Stella Terrano and they've spawned a cute little goblin baby (http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj202/aegagropilon/Giekes2.jpg). (I think I see Stella's chin there, but Aldous definitely got Chester's nose and possibly his cheekbones.)
