Rod Humble leaves EA to work for Second Life. *cheers* Maybe now someone who actually likes the Sims series will take his place. Someone who actually gets the dollhouse-style gameplay, likes the supernatural elements that have been a huge part of the series since The Sims, and doesn't want to change the whole thing to include RPG style quests. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh yeah! Maybe this will make the future Sims 3 expansions less gimmicky and boring. More interactions, less collecting stuff!

Wow. That sucks for Second Life. Good for the Sims though :)

Actually, what little I know about SL, his style may suit them much better.

*embarrassed* I know quite a bit about SL and I know that if Rod Humble doesn't like supernaturals he might not like the freaky deaky stuff that goes on there. He doesn't strike me as a guy who would like plant molestations-to put it delicately. Especially if he doesn't like aliens and vampires in the Sims...which is PG-13.

Hah... True. :) Of course, if the man tries to put a stop on the sexual aspect of the game, he's going to find he's got a big battle on his hand... or completely alienate most of their customers.

One can hope. God knows I've been annoyed at his open dislike of supernatural elements which have always been such an important part of the franchise. Let someone new come in, yes; maybe then they'll come out with a Sims 3 game that actually keeps my interest. Until then, Sims 2 all the way, baby! :D

Too bad he didn't leave before The Sims 3. Can you imagine how much better it could have been?

Too bad he got to fuck up the basic concepts of TS3 first. But this is indeed good news. And it's not like he can make Second Life any worse.

Too damn late, I say. I wish he had never gotten his hands on Sims3 at all! He ruined what could have been a wonderful and worthy successor of the Sims 2, just like that game was for the original Sims.

It won`t be easy to change it now, but here`s to hoping someone can manage it. Maybe then I`ll consider playing it again.
