I believe this is what they call a "comic relief" character. *snicker* She provides comic relief while I take shots for the next update, anyway. Also, I don't even want to know what Tits has been up to. She doesn't even live on this lot! Must have been quite a party. Tank's gonna be pissed!

I've been working steadily on the next part of chapter 35 (there are 4 in total), taking extra shots and actually writing much more frequently than I have been in the last while. I can't say I'm over my creative block, but at least it's clearing up a little. There should be an update before too long.

In other news, I'm quite tickled that a TV Tropes page has been created for Strangetown, Here We Come. Thank you to simsnowcherry for giving me the heads up on that. She was even nice enough to check with me first, to see if I was okay with it. (Of course I am. ^_^ I'm surprised and honoured that someone would think to do that.) Please feel free to contibute, if ya wanna. I get a kick out of browsing the site to identify tropes from things I'm reading/watching/playing, and also tropes that I frequently use (or try to avoid at all costs) in my own stories, so I'm curious to see what other people might dig up. You can't play around with them if you don't know, right?

ETA: Also, during a long drive yesterday, I started to think about doing a take on Battle Royale using all the teen characters from Sims 2. It could be all the Beaker's doing (Nervous being the sole survivor of the first round — it makes a marginal amount of sense, right? That's all I need.) I'd play it straight, with one survivor. Of course, I'll probably never actually do this, but it was interesting to think about who would off who and who'd be the last sim standing.

I know, right? They even have a TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life page to describe that very phenomenon.

I was so surprised the first time my story was mentioned in TV Tropes (for The Woobie, mentioning Frances and also Nervous), but I was even more blown away by the idea of a whole page for it. I'm honoured. It really made my day when she contacted me about it.

I've seen the page a few times and it's grown substantially since the first time I looked at it. It's great that people are getting interested in it! The first time I went to TV Tropes was a link from your journal, when you mentioned that Frances had been added to the Woobie entry, so this is kind of fitting, to me. Now I go there to see tropes that I might like to use, that I know I use or that I'd like to steer clear of using.

As for the Battle Royale ... I can see a few possible incidents occurring (especially when it means you're putting Montys and Capps close together and tell them to fight each other) but otherwise I don't really know. It would be interesting to see how it all plays out.
