It's funny, because the other blue I was using was one I had specifically requested from Phobia to be sort of denim-y and not too saturated (and I loved it), but I felt like giving it a little more vibrancy. The green is a compromise between a lush grassy green and a more olive green.
I'm happiest with the brown, actually, because it's darker and richer, but still not as dark as Make War, which I use on certain characters like Jaxy for some variety.
I've actually already done a set of supernaturals for my game, based on aledstrange's skin set, but I used straight-up Phobia eyes (well, with a Maxis sclera). I might stick with those or make a couple of small edits, like I did here. Oh, and I did create a whole new alien eye for my alien werewolf by blending the yellow and orange Phobia alien eyes.
My main thing with light blue is that it should be very noticeably different from both dark blue and gray. That's one of the things that bothers me most about the Maxis defaults. It's very hard to distinguish gray from light blue.
Though it's hard to choose just one or two colours I'm most picky about. :P Colour is one of my "things" and I'm a fussy sort.
I might make a couple of other colours after I'm finished with these, but those are both the same brown up there. I just threw in the one with Circe to fill out the grid (since the glasses hid the true colour, I went with Bella for a better shot).
Thank you. I'm especially happy with the brown. It was the one I was most compelled to change from my original set. My aim was to make the defaults very average (at least to my eye), and I can still use contacts for some variety.
Brown is the color I'm most picky about. I'm constantly changing which brown default I use, because it's either too light or too dark. Currently it's too dark, but yours looks perfect!
I like, but are just not really My Style, unfortunately ^_^ Thinking about it, Now I have Photoshop back I could work on a Phobia Tweak set of my own. :)
Well, you can always add a shaded sclera, if you want. ;) (LOL — I feel like such a little dick saying that. Maybe I'll be thoughtful and include them in their original form, as well. That'd be the nice thing to do, right?)
Oooh, that'd be cool. I loved your glass eyes, so I'd like to see what else you'd come up with.
I wouldn't feel like a Dick if I were you!! I don't Digg the Shaded Stuff they come with either, and instead go with a proper overlay [You know, on the other edge of the Spectrum for you!] I like the Many different Eyes I get with Phobia's, but the Tweaked Defaults Or the original Sahara's have been my Faves for awhile now [They are Bright, Crisp, and Show Some Depth, which is hard to come by with "Maxis Match" Eyes] ...But for my Other Game Files.. I'd like to have a very Smooth Set.. *Ponders* I'll maybe Draft something tomorrow ^_^
