As my simming attention disorder continues to be a problem, I've started puttering around with cc again on my lunch break. I just recently started playing with vampires in my game for the very first time (they were the last creature for me), and wanted some lipstick that actually went on their lips. Since their skin is an overlay, the lips need to be a blush for this to work. The same applies to plantsims, I believe. I might give some attention to other supernaturals the way I did with the alien lips.

Here's my first attempt at vampire lips:

Do these look like blood-stained lips to you?

I also just realized that this must be what people mean by the mannequin skin when they provide replacements for it. I can be a little slow at times. (Also, I should look for a replacement to get those default eye out of there.)

Those lips look good, the colour is very blood-like.

I believe there is a mod someplace which changes the layering of the original Maxis lipsticks to be above vampire overlays, but I can't remember where I found it.

And as a random point, I wonder what would happen to a vampire plantsim? The whole needs sun/killed by sun thing would be a pretty big problem for them.

I've heard you can put a sunlamp over their coffin during the day to fill that need, and then their stats don't drop at night because of their vampire-ness. I've never tried it but it sounds interesting.

That sounds very interesting indeed. I must try that theory at some point.

Yes, the Creatures fixes mod fixes the layering issues with vampires. I downloaded it in hopes that it would fix my alien eyes issues (it didn't), but a nice side effect was that it fixed the vampire makeup thing. :D

Thank you! That's so much more useful than making lipstick that's actually blush. :P

Did you ever figure out your alien eye problem?

Had a similar situation before...guy was turned into vamp when he went Downtown, wife was a plantsim, when he got home the lamps had no effect on him at all. Also, if your vamp sims can meditate, they don't have to go into the coffin, just make sure there are no windows where they meditate.

I really love the way the lips look! I would definitely be interested in them. :)

I am also just starting to play with vampires. I turned Jodie Larson (in the sims bin from OFB) into one as that fitted with the whole part animal thing. The lips look good.

I love it! I've been looking for maxis match vamp specific makeup for a while so yeah I'd download if you make them available. :)

It is a very nice shade of red. But for some reason I'm picturing the vamp licking corner of their mouth for that stray drop.

If you were to give some attention to lip colors for the other supernaturals that would be great, cause you did a great job on the ones for the aliens. Thank you.
