How do I get plantsims to wilt?

 Okay, this might be a very stupid question, but I'm hoping someone on my flist will know a little more about plantsims than I do. To get the wilt skin state, they have to reach 0 in their water meter, right? Are there any other factors?

Does anyone know of any hack conflicts that would prevent the wilt state from happening? Or maybe something that I could use to force the wilt state? I can't seem to dry those poor darlings up!

Actually, you can still revive them if all their needs bottom out, so it's impossible for them to starve or drown. I have had mine die from being too cold though.
