One year, baby!

Well, we made it. The SO and I have one year of marriage under our belt. ^_^ I still fiddle with the ring as if it's brand new (not much of a jewelry person, me), but here we are, one year later. Where does the time go?

Keeping with the theme, I have a sim couple that's about to embark on the same journey.

"Will you marry me and all of my fabulous hats?"
 

I think we can guess the answer. ;) It should be a fun one to decorate, don't you think? (Also, it's going to have to be rushed, because these two lovebirds managed to get to work on a little bun in the oven right after this proposal. They waste no time.)

I know. I think we've all been sorta busy this summer or something. I really haven't done much with e-things or artsy junk or anything of that sort in awhile. I've been working and relaxing and spending a lot of time with my hometown friends. Also, I just got back from the beach and it was OMG SO FUN!

How are things on your end?

Yeah, I've been crazy busy. I'm lucky I've posted at all. If I wasn't addicted and it wasn't such great stress relief, I probably wouldn't have bothered at all. My second job kicks into overdrive in the summer, and there's a lot of craziness with the family/living situation (and also some good stuff, like parents and friends coming to visit), so I've been flat out.

As for summer weather and going to the beach, I have serious summer envy. We've had a miserable cold and wet summer so far. It sucks. I'm really hoping we have better luck during my two weeks of vacation at the end of the month. I have a wedding to go to, so that'll be fun.

Thanks. ^_^ Yeah, and we bought a paper gift for ourselves: an etching from one of the local galleries. It's pretty nice (though small, as our budget dictates—we're looking into buying a home, afterall). We're going to try to follow that tradition every year.

Puck is thrilled. ^_^ There's something I really love about Puck and Hermia. They seem to have this quiet, understated and easygoing relationship that I really like.

I occassionally make the semesters shorter but I've never done too much major cheating in University. I find it quite challenging getting everyone up to a 4.0. And I have found that if I don't make my sims work they do end up on academic probation!

Currently at La Fiesta are Johnny, Ophelia and Ripp, plus Tank, also Puck and Hermia and Lillith Pleasant. I have Stella there too. Haven't played on any of the pre-made families like the fraternity yet. At Academie Le Tour, Tybalt, Tara (from Belladonna Cove) and Angela Pleasant are sharing a house. I'm playing with the MegaHood as you probably guessed.

Congrats, well done on your first anniversary.

And that picture looks awesome and cute. Just wondering which house they'll be staying at, and if there's enough room in the closet to store anything else apart from those hats lol

Thank you. ^_^ One year doesn't seem like much, but plenty of people bail out before that, so I still feel like it's a bit of an accomplishment. I consider the secret to our success to be the fact that we didn't expect anything to change with marriage, and it didn't. We're just as happy as we ever were.

Thanks! They'll be living on the Capp's property, since Hermia has inherited her parent's land (more details on all that later), and both families are matriarchal. They're a little more modern, though. I think they're going to hyphenate their names. (Although Puck Capp is sort of amusing... :P)

As for storage, I think there'll be a whole walk-in closet devote just to hats. Hermia is bit of a milliner.
