This troper finds Frances J. Worthington III from the Sims 2 story Strangetown,Here We Come to be the epitome of woobie. Especially when he is rejected by his crush Tank Grunt, who he had secretly been pining over for months, and has a huge emotional breakdown. 

• It's even worse because of his eyebrows (Okay, so he's Maxis made- but the author puts them to good use!) which make him look perpetually sad.

The part about being rejected by Tank was even hidden as a spoiler that you had to highlight to read! Heehee. How exciting. I've only recently discovered this site (I know, I know...), and I cannot express how honoured I am to have S,HWC included there as an example of a trope (under "web originals"). *beams*

They called poor Franny out pretty well, I think. Not only does shit routinely hit his fan, but he's a pretty hardcore brooder in general, even when things are going pretty well for him. He's all about the self pity. And I must admit that he has one or two major Woobie moments yet to come...

*cues ominous music*

TV Tropes is procrastination heaven. Everytime I end up in that site, I can browse it for hours. It's so funny!

I agree. I try to pass it off as some sort of educational activity, though, because you need to know about tropes to work with with, right? ;) Yeah, I'm an optimist.

I'm so proud of Frances, making it onto the site like that. He has quite a track record now... a cult, and mention on TV Tropes... what's next? :P
