Sims 3: JRO update

I've been playing around with my Sims 3 version of JRO, and I've been having a lot of fun with it. It's nice to not have a story to worry about, and I've been enjoying just playing the game. It's not without its problems, of course, but I've been having fun, so I thought I'd give a little update on my progress. The commentary is pretty brief and to the point, but a couple of interesting things happened, and there's a bit o' breeding in there. I hope it'll amuse you.

I believe this is where we left off, right?
They seem to be having fun. ;)

Then, cut to tragedy... Abram (Ripp's parthenogenesis baby, now a teen) is electrocuted in an attempt to fix the TV.

Johnny isn't happy to see Grim. Not at all. (I can really see the resemblance to his father in this pic.)

There's no "plead for love one" option, and Abram's own pleading falls on deaf ears.

Ripp is heartbroken.

Johnny does his best to console. (The cry on shoulder interaction is so sweet.)

Like a true rocker, Ripp turns his pain into music. In the park, for tips.

Ophelia transitions to adult.

Here's a better look at her.

Ripp uses his skills to serenade his darling Phi.

Then somehow this happens. ;)

Once labour sets in, the boys panic.

Like seriously, they panic. What's a girl to do?

With the boys completely losing their shit, Phi does the responsible thing and bikes herself to the hospital.

Eventually, Ripp shows up at the hospital, and he helps to bring the twin girls home.

This reaction seems appropriate.

The girls are named Willow...

And Hero.

Now don't go thinking that Johnny didn't have his way with Phi too, because he did. He fathered another set of twins, also girls, named Judy and Joannie.

Did I mention that Johnny is a superstar? Because he is. A sports superstar.

This is Strange, over for a visit at the birthday party. She got old (and a bad transition outfit). Heehee.

Judy becomes a toddler.

And Joannie too.

Hero as a child.

And Willow. They both seem to have Ophelia's hair.

And finally, we have a boy. Can you guess who the father is?
His name is Jerome, and he's evil and insane. Good luck with that, JRO.

Date: 2009-07-12 04:05 am (UTC)Are you using the awesome mod? I ask because I would've expected more blending with the skintones. Otherwise, isn't it nice to just play and not have an agenda? Just see what happens?
ETA: This teaser looks like Ripp is checking out Phi's boobs, and Phi's like "Is this dude checking out my boobs?!?! O_O"
ETA2: Do all the kids have green eyes? Kinda looks that way.

Date: 2009-07-12 04:09 am (UTC)The genetics work like they're all custom, without any altering. It's not bad, but the lack of recessives is a bit lame. I'm going to keep breeding to see how it all works for me, but I've heard that recessives are a thing of the past.
It is fun to just play. I'm liking that part of it, for sure.
