Isn't he simply marvelous? I take absolutely no credit for this. He was created byrabid_cupcake. S/he shared a photo of him in the comments to my last post and I'm so excited I have to make sure everyone sees him. The mouth/upper lip area and nose are perfection. S/he has even captured the overhang of the bottom lip in there. The only thing I might consider changing on him would be the chin (maybe it should be just slightly weaker? For a Sims 3 sim, this is actually a fairly strong chin), but that's a very, very minor thing. He's wonderful. You should be so proud of him, Cupcake. (Can I call you Cupcake? :P Please advise.)
I really hope he gets uploaded somewhere. ^_^
(As a bitchy aside, don't you think they could have managed to make the sideburns actually meet the hairline? Bleh. I'm also hating on the stubble in this game SO HARD. Does it need to be so impossibly thick, with no options for making it thinner? My SO said it looks like it was painted on, and I think he hit the nail on the head. For Ripp, I had to actually lighten the colour of it, to make it seem like more skin was showing through.)
You know... if they decided to add Frances into the game at some point with an EP (which is very doubtful, in my opinion), there's no way he'd be even remotely this accurate.

*applauds* I'm sure The Benevolent One would approve.
(and maxis has never been gifted when it comes to facial hair. That one beard in sims 2, the one that's one step up from the "Daniel Pleasant" beard NEVER matched, color-wise. It was brighter than any hair. Same with one of the mustaches. Facial hair FAIL.)

Date: 2009-06-26 12:35 pm (UTC)Maxis facial hair has sucked since The Sims 2. The beard colors do not match the hair colors, for example. And some mustaches were ugly too.
But I agree that they got worse on The Sims 3. I tried to give Mortimer a mustache but all of them look painted on so I gave up. And the makeup is awful too.

I did, however, manage to give him a purple arghyle sweater. Which I have got to say looks quite smashing. XD
