Hey, look... I have a "son" and he's not really all that bad looking (if I do say so myself).






 

 

The scary thing is, Red really does look like he could be related to me. I think it's the cheeks.

I really wanted to update tonight, but I've been so busy lately, and I just don't have it in me to finish taking the pics I needed for it. Soon, though, soon...

My attempts to breed my Sims 2 selfsim resulted in some very unattractive sims, so this is a step up. He's not exactly a model, but he's at least sort of cute.

I wonder if TS3 is more forgiving (for lack of a better term) of selfsim genetics than TS2 was. Whenver I made a selfsim of myself and my husband and had us have kids, they wouldn't always turn out very well, lol.

I haven't tried to make a good selfsim of me yet (I tinkered around a little but decided it was going to take too darn long and quit) but I'll have to try and see what happens!

It seems to be more forgiving. I used some of the extreme of the default sliders for both of the parents, and they are both CAS sims, which often resulted in bad results in Sims 2, if they were highly altered from the templates.

Oh, and off topic... I remember you posted about the Bella-like statute in Belladonna Cove when AL first came out. You also remembered that Bella was linked to witches in Sims 1. Do you have any extra information on that, or maybe a link to the details? I'm using some of that info in an update, and I want a better idea of the canon (and don't want to have to play Sims 1 to find out - though maybe that'd be fun).

Mostly what I heard about Bella being linked to witches in Magic Town were rumors I'd pick up here and there around the internet. I did find a Wiki article that gives Bella's bio from TS1 and it seems to point to that, too. Here's the link:

There's a lot of info in that article! I know Wiki isn't always 100% accurate on things, but this was pretty interesting.

I'll keep looking. :) I seem to recall reading a lot of the rumors, etc. on TSR.

So, yeah, I'm leaving this Saturday for a trip I'm taking overseas. I need to know when the update will be! So I don't get my hopes up thinking that it will be posted before I go.

Well, since you've gone and made my day by saying so, I'll have to make a special effort to post before Saturday. I have something I need to go to this evening, and also tomorrow evening for a while, but since my SO is out of town, I'm expecting it to be a pretty low-key Friday night. I'm going to say that it should be posted by then.

I really thought this would be coming together by Tuesday, to be honest, but I seemed to have underestimated how draining my week would be. There's a lot of work stuff, but I'm also house/pet sitting for a friend. Two houses + 2 dogs + 5 cats = a busy week.

I was hoping to post, and I made some good progress, but with real life stepping in, there just wasn't time to finish it. I'm sorry it won't be up before you leave. It'll be here when you get back, though.
