Seriously, I have no idea who these people are. ;)

As you can see, Strange was having a little difficulty in her conversation with Johnny 2.0. He was a bit of a jerk. She was trying to talk about the books she's been reading, but he kept telling her she was boring. The loner in the background didn't even look up from her book, but they had a good chat about books later when I met them at the pool (Phi was just standing there reading again, instead of swimming).

I've been having a pretty good time playing with the game, and I might do a little update post on it at some point.

It seems like she used her superhuman powers to paint a scene from the future. Or maybe Olive is so incredibly old that this just happened recently?

Oh wait... Olive would be a kid at this point in time, right? I guess I'll have to use the time machine excuse again. Good ol' Don and his time machine.

That's so cool! Johnny 2.0 really looks like the original one (at least from the side) How long did it take you to create him? O_o

LOL at his jerkiness!

So that painting is one of the "default" ones, right? What an odd choice, indeed. Now I wonder... can you paint custom paintings like you did in the Sims 2 (loading a picture, etc.)?

Thanks. I think he came out pretty well because of his extreme features. It's easier to get a likeness. I'll show some better shots a little later.

Yeah, he wasn't sugar-coating his reactions. It was really funny to see him do the neurotic freak-outs every now and then too. :P

So far, I have the "paint canvas" option, which gives the default paitings (in three sizes), paint still life, paint still life with effects, and paint portrait. I haven't seen the custom option yet, but maybe I will at a higher level of skill.

My selsim's lifetime wish is to become a pro artist and writer, so I will eventually find out.

Wow, your Johnny looks spot-on! I was sort of worried about how he'd turn out in the sims 3 because he's got such an angular face, and they've really smoothed the features out. Very cool.

Thanks. I really pushed the angles, narrowed his face, and reduced the cheek thickness, so it wasn't half bad. It's actually a little easier to get a likeness when sims have distinct features like Johnny does. Ophelia isn't quite as spot-on because of that, but she's not too bad either.

I can totally agree with this. When I made the Beakers I discovered it was a lot easier to make Loki than Circe... which you wouldn't think would be the case, but it was!

Hee hee, you'll end up writing a SHWC sims 3 version. (calling it now)

That green looks a lot like a sims 2 default replacement. Nice shade.

Have you tried the hack for the create a sim sliders? I just read about those and they made me perk up a bit about sims 3 (I'm still not keen to drop $50 though. . .).

I wonder if they'll ever explain what happened to sims between the two times that the game is supposed to take place in to make them only have 2 body types. ;)

Johnny looks great!

Have you tried taking pictures with your phone and using that to make paintings?

WOW! I love seeing these recreations of Strangetown characters in TS3 form! You and [livejournal.com profile] cindyanne1 came up with wonderful likenesses! Seeing these familiar sims in TS3 is such fun. ;)

The time travel aspect of the game is so much fun, but also very, very strange.

My self sim, for instance, is marrying Skip Broke's father!

The Johnny Sim looks awesome, by the way.

Johnny! <3!

Technically Olive *could* be getting married around now - I realise that it's an early prequel, but I think that a lot of her experiments with death granted her an unusually long life...

Wow, you're really good at remaking RJO. (though I can't see Ophelia's face I'm sure that she looks a lot like the original). How are you liking the traits system to create their personalities? Do you think you did decent job of finding traits that match them?

Johnny looks totally spot-on. If you ever upload him to the exchange I am SO going to nab him, lol!

I really hope we get to see the adventures of Johnny 2.0! Or at least his antics. ;) *cackles*

Very, very interesting option for a default canvas . . . Oooh, I hope there's a lot more of the sims2 StoryPics for defaults. Me likes the idea muchly.
