Progress report and stuff

So, umm, I didn't post the update yet.
I feel bad, with the April Fools joke and all. I had planned to post the real chapter that same evening, but it didn't work out that way. It's not far off, though, and if I get much work in on it this evening, it might get posted. I'll be out watching a Werner Herzog film at the college (an enthusiastic and odd character of a student does a showing of one of his personal collection of obscure films every Friday evening - it's worth the trip just for the student and his commentary), and I'll be drinking a little more of this Riesling (can you guess the theme here?), but I hope to get some time to shoot those last photos for the update.
One thing about that fake-out chapter post is that it does have the same suggested music as the actual chapter: Rebellion (Lies) by Arcade Fire. I've been grooving out to them nonstop for the last couple of days. What a GREAT band. I love almost any band with a string section (Oh hai, Belle and Sebastian!), and they're based in Montreal, which is one of the coolest cities in the world. It's not quite Berlin, but it's up there.

Date: 2009-04-03 09:17 pm (UTC)I love the blurb from the facebook group page for this film society:
The CNA Repertory Cinema Society is a special group for people who are looking for something different, if not adventurous, in their filmgoing experiences. We provide a source of films totally outside the mainstream; Independent Films, Foreign Films and Art-House fare.
This student (who's just out of high school), also recreates the movie poster art by hand on a dry marker board just before every screening. He's my favourite person at the moment, I think. A true original.
