While working on Chapter 36 of Strangetown, Here We Come, I decided the Smith household needed some family photos to cover the walls, so I created this collection of wall hanging recolours on a variety of meshes from the game (and one cc mesh). I was asked to share them, so here they are. Perhaps the Smith family in your game might enjoy they too. :)

The files are clearly labeled so you can easily delete any that you don’t want (and all of the images specific to S,HWC are grouped in one folder).

S,HWC Character Heights and Body Types

I was recently asked on Tumblr to give details on how I see the heights and body types of characters in Strangetown, Here We Come, and I thought I'd share them here too. Some of these details have been given in the story itself, but some haven't (like Buck's height, I think).

This is how I see them right now, though some of this could possibly change. I didn't give actual numbers for heights, just how they are relative to what’s average for North America (roughly 5’4.5” for women and 5’9.5” for men). I stuck with the main six and their peers. If anyone is curious about some of the older generation characters or any other specific character that I didn’t include, feel free to ask.

Download: Willow Nigmos sim recreation

I created my own version of Willow Nigmos for a short story I'm working on. Like many of the dead sims in Olive's graveyard, Willow has a broken face. I also prefer my sim relatives to actually resemble their children, so I'd probably recreate her anyway even if it were possible to successfully resurrect her. My Willow is a mix of Olive and Ophelia, with her brow, nose and lips resembling her sister and her eyes and cheek/jaw area resembling her daughter.

If asked (and Bottom is an extremely nosy friend), she might admit that she’s a little worried about keeping up with the physical and emotional demands of having two boyfriends. But if she was really being honest, she’d say that she doesn’t think she’d actually have any issues with the physical side of things. She’s had no problem at all keeping up with Ripp so far, and she sometimes wonders what this might say about her.

He only really likes porn where it seems like the actors are actually enjoying themselves (especially the women, which is hard to come by), and he just really, really loves his soaps. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! NPC wolves

Quick question… Are these the only two colours the wolf NPCs come in? These are the ones I can summon in Strangetown, but I seem to recall seeing a grey one with darker markings somewhere, like your typical wolf. Was that a cc wolf, perhaps?

S,HWC Chapter 36 preview

I jumped ahead and wrote a little scene that will likely be the opening to chapter 36, and I wanted to share it because I'm feeling impatient like that. It's the opening scene, so it doesn't give too much away, but if you'd rather wait until the chapter is posted (and no, it won't be a two year wait, I promise), you can do that. Paler skin for Nervous?

I'm playing around with the idea of changing Nervous Subject's skintone to reflect the fact that he's supposed to be paler than other sims. Shown below are (from left to right) Maxis S1, Phobia's Pale 02, and Pale 01 (which are based on Kiki's PhasMaxian skintones). I'm thinking Pale 01 is too pale, but I'm sort of considering Pale 02. I do like the idea of Nervous being visually distinct and I may have an idea for the story that would work better if he could be identified by skintone alone.

Any thoughts?
