strangetomato | Strangetown Extras: The Banana Question

Okay, this is a short, silly thing, inspired by some talk at

cultofrances today about Frances pairings. I thought about the interactions between him and the two guys in his life in my story, who haven't been featured together yet, though I've thought it through quite a bit. It also uses something extracted from Castaway Stories, which gave me an idea. Well, you'll see. ;)

"Oh... hi," Tank said, as he turned the corner into the kitchen.

"I thought it was just you." He meant Frances, but Beau paid this no mind.

"Yup, just us, T-man."

"Tank."

"Yeah, yeah..."

"Beau," Frances warned.

"Okay, I'm sorry... want a banana, Tank?"

"Excuse me?!"

"Yeah, you know... a banana? Delicious fruit... an excellent source of potassium? "

Beau proceeded to suggestively eat the banana, while Tank stood there awkwardly.

"Mmmm... sweet, sweet bananas."

Tank was aghast.

Beau was amused.

Frances was at a loss for words.

Oh dear god, what have I gotten myself into?

"You're sure you don't want any, Tank?" Beau asked, "They're pretty good."

"Umm... No thanks."

"You know, I really like your hair like that, Tank." Beau said, when he finished eating.

"Oh?"

"Yeah, you two sort of look alike now. Like one of those couples that starts to turn into each other after living together for so long."

"We're not a couple."

"Well, you know what I mean."

"Umm, sure. I'm... just going to get myself some mac and cheese here..." He walked over to the cupboard to find a box.

"Nice! Can we have some too?" Beau asked. Frances held his breath, thinking that this was maybe pushing it.

"Uhhh..." Tank paused. "Yeah, sure. Why not?"

Frances let out a sigh of relief.

Well, Tank and Beau are bound to run into each other sooner or later, lol! I love it. Poor Tank, though... he's going to be learning a lot. And you know, that's not all bad. ;)

Oh gosh, this is adorable. And I can't believe Beau got away with all that!

I really love all the interactions and how awkward Tank is even now and I don't know. Is it weird that the more I see Beau the more I like him, but the more I like Frances/Tank? I don't know why, but I got all smiley when Beau compared them to a couple.

I like Tank's new hair. He's changing! :D

My supervisor at work REFUSES to watch anyone eat a banana. He will immediately leave the area if someone pulls out a banana to eat.

Of course, he's also freaked out by bare feet, so he's got a bundle of neuroses.

Wow, that's hilarious. Bananas are so...awesome, right? Beau is adorable. I like Tank's new haircut, it looks good.

Beau is way too fresh for his own good. Poor Tank would be so clueless, and Frances made me laugh with hos "OH NOES!" reaction.

(This is me finally getting over my shyness and saying that you are awesome and I've recently finished reading all of S,HWC so far, and you've probably changed the way I see some of the sims of Strangetown forever and I absolutely love seeing these little extras and I'm excited about the next chapter [whenever you put it out, no pressure and all that, but asdfghjkl; I love your story] and this is a horrible run-on sentence and I'll stop now. Because I probably seem insane or something. Sorry.)

*laughs* OH Beau! You're almost too much! . . . Y'know, I can see Beau driving Tank either into being more homophobic, or a little more comfortable with it. Driving home the point they're still just guys - likable or not.

He's the fun kind of asshole. :D

Tank looks so much like Ripp's brother with that hair. He's so cute. And the short story, too!

LOL! Honestly, sometimes I'm not sure if Beau is interested in Frances or if he's just playing matchmaker for Tank (and Frances).

Maybe he wants a threesome. Or he's just an asshole who loves to tease Tank, as someone above said. Who knows?!

I love your version of Beau. He's so open and cheerful, just what someone as "tight" (is that the correct term?) like Frances needs (perhaps Tank too!).

Whoa, I'm way late! But OH MY GOSH! Beau is just so many shades of AWESOME! Though, I was like Frances, a little nervous to Tank's reaction. Glad that Tank seems to be loosing up a bit. It not much.

Am I the only person who see a slight parallel in the way Beau interacts with Tank and the way Ripp acts with Tank? Only because they both get their jollies by making Tank uncomfortable.

I like more hair on Tank. I made him have the Cesaer hair. It's still short & neat but not a pukey flat-top.

I love that last picture of Frances' face. He looks like a monkey which fits along with the hilarity of the whole banana thing.
