Sims Talk: Question about Pregnancy and University

I have a couple of questions. I know that I can use InSIM to make a YA sim pregnant while at university, but how does one go about having the baby? If a sim got knocked up, and then dropped out of uni, would they still be pregnant and have the baby normally once they transitioned? Can you do it at any stage in the pregnancy (or do you have to do it before they "pop")? I heard that you can't move the baby, once born, unless you age them to teen, which is not good for a story, but moving out a pregnant sim would be perfect if it works. I tried to find the answer to this question on my own, but my searching only unearthed the answer, "you can't get pregnant at uni unless you use a hack", which I already knew. I need more detail, and I know that someone reading this must already know the answer. I really appreciate your help!

Why do I ask? Oh, no reason... *wink* Just weighing my options.

Hmmm. Thanks for the tip. I don't use InTeen, and I probably won't be adding it, since I believe you can't have InSIM and InTeen at the same time (am I right?). I have to admit to being pretty ignorant about InTeen, and I don't really know much about it besides its teen woohoo and pregnancy functions.

I totally have both InTeen and Insim in my game at this very moment. Oh, and it didn't explode. You ever want to try it out, just let me know. :D

Okay. You see, I wasn't lying about being grossly ignorant. Maybe what I'm thinking of is the fact that they do mostly the same thing, so having both is sort of redundant... though obviously you have both, so you must have some good reason to have both. Care to enlighten me?

I had inteen first, which I used for teen pregnancies, risky woohoo, adult/teen hookups, that sort of stuff. I'm pretty sure that I haven't used insim as much as I could be. I didn't realize that teens could get pregnant with it, but I guess it's possible.

Though with insim, you can do almost everything, I think that you actually have to do it, whereas with inteen, woohooing with tons of people can lead to pregnancy without actually having them try for a baby. The first one I got, was this crazy romance sim. When she got pregnant, I honestly didn't know who the father was, which is kind of cool, if you want that kind of mystery in the game.

Uhm....I honestly couldn't tell you if they are things that inteen can do that insim can't. I guess I'm just used to having inteen in my game, so I keep it in.

(Also, I know you had Jill and Ripp makeout, but I didn't realize that insim could allow adult/teen relationships. I assumed you had inteen for that. :P)

InSIM allows you to set teens to an age group called "independent teen", where they still look like teens, but behave as adults, which I guess allows them to function as they would with InTeen. I aged Jill up to this category for her scenes with Ripp, but I didn't leave her as an independent teen, since I'm not sure what all of the consequences of that would be.

I do like the idea of random pregnancies through risky woohoo, but probably not enough to install InTeen. I'm going to plan my "oopsies". ;)

Oh, inteen does that too.

Well.......I guess besides the risky woohoo, there's nothing else. Does insim have birth control and fertility drugs? Cuz inteen does!

And, if you plan the "oopsie," then you can't really call it an oopsie. :P

If you can't get pregnant from woohoo, then that counts as birth control. What do the fertility drugs do? Allow for more than twins?

Oh, it's not an "oopsie" for me. Not at all. Now, as for my characters... they might not see it coming. *evil grin*

Well, no twins, but you know those couples where you have them try for a baby like ten times with no lullaby? Well, the drugs increase the chance of getting pregnant. Not a huge advantage, but it's there.

Don't you just love playing god with these sims? MWAHAHAHA!!!!
