The Sims 3 has been delayed until August because I am not even close to being mentally ready for it yet. I'm just that important. *snicker* The ego has landed.

Seriously, though, this wouldn't bother me in the least, and I think they should delay it to fix their countless, countless bugs, if they do exist (and, let's face it, they most likely do). However, I do feel bad for people who were getting really excited about it, and even pre-ordered it. *consoles cindyanne1* There, there. It will be okay.

I wonder if it's true? Seems likely to me. They delayed Spore for ages, didn't they?

*feetshuffles* I'm dissapointed. I mean, not omg the world's ending, but I was looking forwards to getting to play with the 'new dolls' so to speak. These days I think my mood towards TS3 is one of great curiousity: I'm not in love with it, but I find it *interesting* and am optimistic enough to hope it won't be as bad as some of the no-CC and such news make it. I just can't believe EAxis would be dumb enough to overlook how much of the TS2 franchise is based on player made content. I mean, we're talking the cash cow here, the golden goose. Money money money, especially in the current economy!

I haven't even begun to think about wether I should get it or not!! The previews that I've seen (which hasn't been many) has not convinced me to leave TS2 behind. Maybe that'll change. I don't see all the *BRAND SPANKING NEW STUFF* as I saw when I compaired TS to TS2 - I Mean, just the Aging part was a huge deal for me.
And I don't really have the time to get into a new computer game. I got Spore for Christmas, but I haven't completed it yet - I'm stuck in the space age, trying to look for lifeforms.
No TS3 for me till I see some very convincing evidense that I can't live without it!

I waited until just last night to get really hyped up about TS3. I had dreams about it and everything. I'm getting a new computer around the same time as the so-called "release date" and it was all going to be perfect and auuuughhghhhh *head asplodes*

I was really on the fence. Some of the new gameplay things sounded great, others I didn't like the sound of.

I wasn't planning to get it on release date, so I won't be the least bit upset if it's delayed 6 months.

Plus, that gives me more time to hoard more Target gift cards. I have $30 put back.

I don't see any benefit to preordering for downloads when I can them from MATY. If I go to the store & pick it up myself, I can usually get it marked down & not have to pay shipping.

Also, I'm not bored with TS2 either. By the time it came out, I was so over TS1 it wasn't funny. Even Makin' Magic didn't inspire me.

Oh, I'm so excited to see this! I *so* hope it's true. I'm finally able to afford a gaming computer, and I was so upset that just when I finally got it, and could really get into the full TS2 experience, everyone was going to jump ship for TS3. I wasn't going to buy TS3, at least right when it came out, because I haven't even scratched the surface of what TS2 has. Huzzah for game delays!

I'd hope they fix the bugs, but I don't think I'm going to get what I was hoping for twice :P

I agree with you Strange in the fact that there is still sooo much to do in the Sims2. I for one still need to make the ultimate hybrid. My vampire/Plantsim is expecting an alien baby, and so it shall begin soon. lol

I still need to grow up the Monty Boys, The Summerdreams, and Capps teens.

I want to eventually marry into and play all the original downtownies,college townie originals, and other main characters Maxis has made. Even the gorilla face sims need a little love. So I don't mind the delay in the Sims3. I kinda panicked that it was coming out so soon. whew!

It's funny how I couldn't get the game till then (which made me frustrated how everyone would be playing before me) but then the game's been delayed to June 2nd (source: official Sims 3 website).

I also happen to like a little receeding hairline. The game has one option, but it's sort of severe. How about hair for people who are "just a little bit" bald? I want it.

That's a good option, though I still wish there was an option with a little more length in the hair too. I would love to see one on the short, messy mesh that I'm using on Ripp (it does have the suggestion of a slightly receeding hairline anyway, but it's very subtle).

I think those only work for intel macs (I'm still on a power pc). As long as it doesn't mean I'll have to install windows I'm ok with it. (Yes, old compy is old. I'm hoping to replace it in the near future).

I found a recolor on MTS2 of the Uni ponytail that was black with a grey stripe (it was made for a sim of Xigbar of Kingdom Hearts, if you're curious). That help?
