Hard drive failure is imminent...

Yeah, that's right - imminent. That's exactly what my computer said.

Sweating? Who's sweating?

I'm not sweating, I'm BACKING UP my game. What else would I do at a time like this? Oh good. It's all copied over to the external hard drive... cc and all. I can breath again now.

I called tech. support, and they're sending me everthing I need to package up the hard drive to send it off to be replaced, which is awesome. In the meantime, I was told to back up anything I don't want to lose. I wonder if he could hear my blood turning to ice when he gave me that line.

At least Ripp finds it funny... this icon is going to serve me well during hard times.

Well thank the Computer Gods you had a warning before it all went kaput. My hard drive just died on me once, not too long ago. I mean, it just DIED. Like froze in the middle of navigating to another page on the internet and I did a shutdown and restart and it wouldn't come back up. AT ALL. So everything was just gone, that quick!

Yikes.

You know, it seems like a lot of us Simmers have major computer issues. I would never ask my hubby this, because he'd be all "I told you so" but does anyone think having the sims game on the computer is what does it?

YES, I THINK THAT ALL THE TIME, I ALWAYS HAVE I ALWAYS WILL.

Hell yes that's what's doing it. The game takes a lot to even get running and then (especially with the obsessed like myself) you play for 3-4 hours straight, 2-3 days a week. That has to take it's toll after a while.

Or, it's an evil conspiracy.
