Hard drive failure is imminent...
Yeah, that's right - imminent. That's exactly what my computer said.
Sweating? Who's sweating?
I'm not sweating, I'm BACKING UP my game. What else would I do at a time like this? Oh good. It's all copied over to the external hard drive... cc and all. I can breath again now.
I called tech. support, and they're sending me everthing I need to package up the hard drive to send it off to be replaced, which is awesome. In the meantime, I was told to back up anything I don't want to lose. I wonder if he could hear my blood turning to ice when he gave me that line.
At least Ripp finds it funny... this icon is going to serve me well during hard times.

I got a "dumping physical memory" message and I just STARED at the screen. And STARED. And STARED. I couldn't even do my fingers crossed chant thing.
The timing's kind of nice, though. You're getting ready for a break and, it seems, so is your computer.
(and how freaky, it's like everyone's computer is on the same "cycle")

I know what will be on the top of the list.
"Better working conditions, including SHORTER hours and a cat hair free working environment."
AIN'T happening.

Computer: FAKE wood? Please...
Me: That's not my desk, so I have no choice in the matter.
Computer: Also, I need better hours. I work later AND get started early?
Me: It's flextime.

The timing is pretty good. I'm heading out of town in a couple of days, so the computer can just rest and wait for me to return.
All the crazy simmer hormones have our computer cycles syncing up. That makes sense.
(In RL, cycle syncing freaks me out. It made it so that my mother and I were at our craziest at the same time of the month, and that's not a good thing AT ALL.)

I seriously feel your pain in a big way, but maybe you could all just do some primal scream therapy together...
