The application will now terminate.

I decided to finally try my hand at recreating my house in build mode, and even drew up a rough floorplan based on a walk around the house, but when I went into the game, it crashed on me. Twice. I went to one of my custom hoods, placed an empty lot, and clicked on it to build. Before it loaded, it crashed. It's very frustrating. Maybe I'll try one more time in a different hood. I have no idea what might be going wrong.

If only the game didn't take so long to load. *sigh*

ETA: I tried the same thing in Belladonna Cove... and it worked! I guess Chronic Town must be cursed or something.

Will it load without your Downloads folder?

That was going to be my next step, but it actually loaded fine without crashing when I tried it another hood (Belladonna Cove), as I suspected it would. I have no idea why, however. Hrmm....

Oh, good. My game screwed up yesterday and kept on screwing up even after I took out Downloads. Then I realized that the bad CC was also on a saved sim, took her out, and it was fine.

It's a scary feeling, though, huh?

Maybe you need to do some damage control on the other hood. :(

Yeah, it's scary. I know most of my hoods are pretty old by most standards, so things are bound to go wrong eventually. Which is why I backup, backup, backup!

Chronic Town is super old. Even older than my S,HWC version of Strangetown. It was created for an old legacy I half abandoned, though still play from time to time. I should just combine it with Llama Spit Cove. I've been wanting to recreate that for some time, so maybe I could just combine them all and be done with it.

I've also been wanting to start working with an Uberhood, and maybe even for my story, but I've down so much work on those hoods, it's probably only going to happen if things go kablooey on me. :P It'll be like a consolation prize, that I get to use the Uberhood. Oh, the amount of work involved in such a rebuild... I can't even think about it.

At least it didn't crash right as you had finished the house. That'd really suck. Hope you get it all figured out.

Yes, you're so right. I should count my blessings, because that would be downright crazy-making! That's why saving is so important. I often get caught up playing and forget to save and then lose everything, and it's so frustrating.

Thanks. I'm working on it no problem in Belladonna Cove, so maybe I'll just toss it up to an old hood gone past its prime.
